hi rick i have a que, i have same GPU as yours, and the thermal pads got melted, do i have to/can i use same MM measurements that you're using on clip to replace it? or i have to measure my own's and than replace it after? please help me ^^

maybe adding 4 thermal pads of 05 mm equal 2 mm would work so you wont have to buy 05 mm and 2mm

Hello, I have a 1080ti from Gigabyte but with the Turbo blower style model I still see high temperatures about 100 on hotspot and 90s on gpu after thermal repaste Could it be not changing the thermal pads caused that? Do you think I could replace the blower style cooler with this model of fan? Is it compatible?

I have just asked information about pad's sizes My card is: GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti Gaming OC 11GbrAnswer I got from Gigabyte support:brbrWe can only provide the thickness of thermal pads They are 05mm, 065mm, 2mm and 275mm br br1425*632*05mm br7*70*2mm br725*725*065mm br75*305*05mm br75*245*275 mmbrbrHope it helps to others too

omg so lucky and thankful you made a tutorial on the exact model GPU I have I just turned on Minecraft running a shader that previously would cause temps to rise to mid 80s and the hotspot to over 100 But now it's about 70 and 84 (didn't last long tho as the game crashed lol) Thanks a lot!

Anyone know how to remove the backplate? I got rid of the 7 screws shown here But it is still on The only things left are 4 20-ish sided star things holding it down but I cant get those out or even if you can without breaking it

Cutting up an old credit card or gift card to the width of the GPU works great to apply a uniform layer over the chip I don't want to risk the GPU not having compound on it

Hi, I reached out to Gigabyte about thicness of thermalpads for this card I will write them from the left side of the card to right (from processor to power section)brV rams - 05 mmbrThese grey R22 VRM'S - 065mmbrAfter them these black squares - 2mmbrLast one with screw between them - 05mmbrthey didn't tell me nothing about these 2 thick ones

I have 3 GeForce 1080Ti''s one of them decide to go cold on me 2 in one rig and the other and a 3060 in another It got down to 7MH/s it's back to 37 now The thermal paste was barely applied Now there's a good solid coating Am waiting on new pads if it decides that the paste wasn't enough

Memory - 05, VRM - 10 those thick ones - 2 mm (Just do double 10 if you are doing it yourself, no need for purchasing additional 2mm thermal pad) Thermal Grizzly or Artic ones are the best
