8:25 I don't know if it's just my area, but V3 Super Chargers also tend to have cheaper electricity rates too It's a no brainer to use a V3 Super Charger over a V2 in most scenarios for me if I can because it charges my Tesla quicker and it's cheaper to do so Comment from : Jackson Walter |

As the new owner of TESLA X, we are SO MAD from our last Road Trip (5K miles), as we SPENT HOURS MORE just to stop EVERY 150 -200 MILES, unlike our 2023 TOYOTA SIENNA PLATINUM HYBRID that can DRIVE for 500 MILES even you're driving 90-100Mph with FULL LOAD of stuff, wirh captain chairs, huge monitor in the back, more leg & head room, etcbrbrFor a LONG ROAD TRIP, do NOT fuckin bring a TESLA, just bring or rent the LATEST MINIVAN in the market, period Comment from : Cliff M |

|
If your going uphill(which we have a lot of in CO) range loss is about 20-40 depending on slope Turning off the AC adds a little back There are usually alternative routes that can be traveled safely, without danger of not being able to charge so planning matters Also you may gain if the downhill is significant as well Comment from : Helene Stout |

6:13 “…because CCS chargers are only going to grow in the future…” That aged well 😂 Great tips though, thanks! Comment from : Matt Rogers |

On average for owners with a home power connection Supercharging only represents about 5 of overall charging A home charger installation is a one-off cost so it's cost can be absorbed over the many years that it is used Off peak electricity savings will easily justify it's purchase With tax/registration this is different from country to country but although the amount provided by BEV owners will increase a difference between ICE and BEV road contributions will probably be maintained by governments Tire wear is a bit more but this is often made worse by the driver using the extra performance Using PPF film will apply to any car so is not a comparison issue My insurance was about the same as an equivalent ICE car Premium connectivity is an optional extra and if not bought doesn't put the owner at a disadvantage compared with an ICE car owner Comment from : Nigel Charles |
|
With our Model Y, my wife and I drove from LA California to Omaha Nebraska (1600 miles one way), and back without issue We used the Tesla navigation system, and supercharger network It worked flawlessly If you go the speed limit, your good to go We used autopilot which made the trip a breeze Comment from : tommyk |

I wish tesla could ad a feature or function button to suggest the next SC based on battery level preferences rather than its own,, let say i want the map to pop on the screen the next SC everytime the battery reaches near 31 right now it does not, you have to manually do it yourself I really hate to charge from 3 all the way up to 100 I would rather charge from 67 to 100 multiple times Beside i rarely drive more than 1h straight i like to pause every hour or even less Im not in a hurry to reach my destination anyway We also like to improvise and take random exits to explore new towns along the road We also use rest/service area to go to the bathroom those stop can be used, should be use to charge Unfortunately tesla don't put their SC on those spots So we carry css1 adapter Lastly supercharge rate is just too expensivethey are almost the price of gasoline in some area Comment from : reef Gratos |

I cannot wait until one day that Tesla has full self-driving and I can actually take a road trip from Seattle Washington to my hometown of Stockton California and basically I could just get there in just a couple of days basically if I have to go start using superchargers the basically charges the vehicle at that time However, you would have to have a stronger batteries that will do the job and the whole thing about supercharging is this if you have to charge the car basically find a supercharging station that will charge your car in less than 30 minutes so that you can get the full maximum range out of the car when you use it! And besides that? What will that do for me is very simple because I can tell you right now if I can fully charge my Tesla? That would give me plenty of time to spend the entire day with it to get used to it! Comment from : leonard brinkman |
