I just did sorda the same thing I bought the same heat sink from my laptop the way how my laptop is made it gave me plenty of space to solder the heat pipe on top of the other one and plenty of space to leave the finz minor bending on the heat pipe and minor plastic trimming toobrSo really I sorta have Double the dissipating Heat I guess lol brBut yeah I saw huge improvements like 28° or more brDon't know why this isn't so popular :/brThe hottest my laptop gets now is right around 60° or less with no overclock :/ Comment from : @ZENOSFeelTheBass |
does this also work on a t440p with a gpu as well? Thx Comment from : @youareajackass2005 |

You should re-upload this video, or link to an updated one Only if reading the description do you know the "correct" way to do it And nobody reads The video is suggesting creases in the heat pipes are ok The heatpipes are hollow tubes filled with refrigerant That refrigerant needs to flow inside the tube, if the tube it bent, it will close internally and not work The only thing your adding with bent tubes is metal thermal mass, which will only help marginally Also the method shown in the video is gluing, again only a marginal improvement Soldering the pipes on and not bending them is the proper way to get maximum performance from them Please make it more apparent that you have an improved method of doing this Comment from : @smileymattj |
Would a non-flat heatpipe work as well? I couldn't find any flat ones on ebay that still looked like it would fit Comment from : @skymiracle |
