An even more logical thing to do is to stockpile 22 blanks from home depot (100 for $22) and load em with ball bearings or pellets Those suckers bang louder than the ones with a bullet Idk if that means anything but id assume blanks wouldnt sound as loud as nons In a "survival" scenario, they will do the job Just because its a smaller cal doesnt mean its non lethal Just make sure your headshot game is on point otherwise it might take another few shots to take down your neighbor Jeff for trying to fvck your wife Not to mention the fact that you can store MUCH more ammo than you can if you have 4 times the space of it in the form of unassembled bullet parts and even purchased and ready bullets

Actually making bullets in a post apocalypse era is very realistic It comes down to acquiring sulfur since sulfur comes from volcanoes You can also make sulfur in a lesser form but to say it is not realistic is just not really realistic Why did the people of the past fight so hard to obtain black powder?

The best idea is buying and stockpiling ammo keep 100 boxes of 100 for each weapon size in a cool dry place preferably not known to anyone If you have 2 or 3 different weapons it will last you well into the Apocalypse
