방울토마토
I bought it in 2010 and have been using it for 13 years, but it started making a noise from today brIt's a 3070 and it held up well until Resident Evil 4 Remake, but now it's time to say goodbye brThank you for the time and I will buy the Corsair cx-750 again because I verified it

Dis_Is_Bear
Correction: I mean I'm only looking with the ax750 at this time because I don't expect to run more than two video cards even though this board can handle 3 or 4
Comment from : Dis_Is_Bear

Dis_Is_Bear
Question: I have an Asus Z9PE-D8 WS motherboard that has two xeon procs and I will probably only go with one video card at the moment I'm not sure I understood your comment on the 8 pins correctly Are you saying this wont support having two 8pins at the same time? Because my board requires ATX and two 8pins I was only going with the ax850 because I probably wont run more than one or eventually two video cards on this system

Comment from : VerteBrain

Tybok
I dare say you could go SLI and have enough power left
Comment from : Tybok

Tybok
You don't wanna stress the PSU as it'll not last you as long always better to get a sightly higher wattage PSU than you actually need
Comment from : Tybok

Tybok
Supposedly there's not much difference between PCI-E 20 and 30
Comment from : Tybok

Tybok
It wouldn't cost Corsair much to label each socket on the PSU or just colour code the sockets?
Comment from : Tybok

Tybok
The inputs on the PSU should be labelled I'm sure people could get it wrong
Comment from : Tybok

Comment from : KDude

StuckAndStones
no, a motherboard need the 24 pins which is the only device that uses the 24 pins
Comment from : StuckAndStones

brianawesome100
mmmm Really I would suggest going single card over dual card if the price was the same the 680 only costs like 500 bucks and a 660ti costs 300 so with 2 660ti in SLI you could have bought a 680 which destroys 660ti SLI in anything
Comment from : brianawesome100

brianawesome100
If he was it would be better to go with a 680
Comment from : brianawesome100

brianawesome100
Bandwidth barely matters for video cards you only lose like 1 or 2 FPS from 30 to 20
Comment from : brianawesome100

MrEvisc3rator
yes, this would actually be overkill for two GTX 680's in SLI
Comment from : MrEvisc3rator

VerteBrain
yeah i was going to go with a 2700K first, but i didnt want PCI 20, i wanted more bandwidth and with overclocking i wouldn't use the 48GHz on FULL load, i would just test it out and show it off to my friends aha :P
Comment from : VerteBrain

brianawesome100
48 GHZ with a thermaltaky water 2 extreme? Dude even with the 3770k I wouldnt recommend passing 44GHZ ivy bridge doesnt OC as well as SB
Comment from : brianawesome100

Comment from : MrEvisc3rator

NO LONGER IN OPERATION
PCIe has nothing to do with the powersupply, it depends on your motherboard, GPU and CPU as to whether you can use Gen 30 or not

MemeOn
you can get a molex to fan power adapter to run your fan but keep in mind that the fan will be running at 100 all the time so you could get a 525" bay fan controller and control your fans manually

Golden Diaper
@nerdylikes Yea I did the PSU calculator and it turns out I need about 450w of power without sli With sli it's about 520w I need so I'm not sure if a HX650 PSU will be ok for that :/ Why do you recommend the ax750?
Comment from : Golden Diaper

Golden Diaper
running a high end gaming system ( Around $2000 ) ANd i really want to go sli, but i have the corsair HX650 in my budget So should i go with a 750w psu or the hx? Kerep in mind i will be OC'ing my CPU to around 45ghz
