Yet another new series garbage power supply from silverstone If you want a silent system do not buy any of Silverstones new power supplys Comment from : x79ftw |
Linus, I just wanted to know if I could use the corsair ax850 individual sleeve kit on this PSU? Can I use different cables on this fully modular PSU, I originally thought you could but I just want to double check! Thanks :) Comment from : Kyle Kwasoski |

Forgot to add chroma key? XD Comment from : giammyzanna |
Yeah obviously, still probably less than an AMD processor Comment from : INCREDIBRU WOW |
lol? Não percebi Comment from : Miguel Mendes |
What's the point of the green screen? Comment from : Daniel Ahmed |
Still uses a lot of power, like 2 watts less than an i7 3960x Comment from : Annoytanor |
no, it is possible, but you can't put them in cfx, a lot of bitcoiners don't put their gpus in cfx Comment from : David Li |
I love it how Linus has his own Measurements Comment from : cronk |
Lol i7 980x is really old Comment from : INCREDIBRU WOW |
K well it still makes 0 sense for me, it's not in any relation to anything it's just like changing the texture of a ball for grip, but with a keyboard it doesn't actually give any benefit I don't understand how a mechanical keyboard could be more comfortable, as the keys are surely nothing to do with comfort? If u are uncomfortable using any keyboard u need to go down to the doctors Comment from : INCREDIBRU WOW |
you might be really good with league of legends and don't care about keyboards but i type alot and if fells alot better on a mechanical keyboard than a membrane keyboard its heck of a lot more comfortable but the keys are very different from each other someone might like the way mechanical feels and some might like the way membrane feels its just the fact that mechanical is alot more expensive to produce some of us who like the way mechanical feels are willing to pay Comment from : Ibrahim Abu Bakar |
They could run 4 680s in quad SLI from a separate 1200watt PSU and a i7 980x with 64GBs of RAM and with a lot of HDDs and disk drivesor a server Comment from : Annoytanor |
The keyboards exist because people will buy it, helpful or not some people like it and if you want to be serious about gaming it could make a difference
Comment from : Jeff Baxter |
The thing is I play league of legends People can say what they want, but i can get a 10-0-7 game at 30fps using the worlds shittiest keyboard (admittedly good mouse, that is a thing that needs to be good)
With a much more powerful computer I would get exactly the same, as I would with a mechanical keyboard so why do the keyboards exist? Comment from : INCREDIBRU WOW |
I have no problem with them, other than it being a worthless fad Comment from : INCREDIBRU WOW |
They keys do last longer , they mechanicals have more keystrokes and faster response time , some even have sound and usb pass throughs but yeah i agree , the price is ridiculous Comment from : F1zzy |
another thing, mechanical key switches have less mean time between failures than membrane key switches and the "feel" of the mechanical key switch is much better than a membrane key switch you seem to really hate mechanical keyboards try them and you definitely will be able to feel the difference saying that they're the same thing is totally wrong Comment from : Ibrahim Abu Bakar |
most mechanical keyboards are built generally better than membrane keyboards i'm not going to argue that some membrane keyboards have good build quality but there is a really great difference in typing on a mechanical keyboard versus a membrane keyboard i have personally used membrane keyboards for many years and i just switched to mechanical keyboard a few months ago i can type faster because 99 of the keys i press register which makes less errors Comment from : Ibrahim Abu Bakar |
Kay, let me explain
Better build quality - bullshit it's just a different method
Speed up typing - Oh please, keys have no relation to that
Anti ghosting - implying that's not on membrane keyboards
Response time - Fad: Cheap keyboard can't tell the difference at all
Mechanical costs like £80 more for fuck all other than the fact you can say ur a hipster with ur mechanical keyboard Doesn't help typing, games or any shit
Fad Comment from : INCREDIBRU WOW |
I can understand how that would be annoying, but that doesn't make a preference for mechanical keyboards a bad thing Comment from : David Edward |
There are people who will rate any non-mechanical keyboard as crap, because they want their 000000012 efficiency increase (and annoying clacking) while playing games Comment from : Bing It |
Only psu's i get Comment from : Tom Ferreira |
better build quality, keys and switches last longer, much much better feel when you type and it will speed up your typing when you get used to it plus, you get additional features like anti ghosting and key rollover the response times are better than the cheap mechanical keyboards Comment from : Ibrahim Abu Bakar |
Why?
How does it change anything at all? Pointless Comment from : INCREDIBRU WOW |
what the hell is wrong with mechanical keyboards ? Comment from : Ibrahim Abu Bakar |
forgot that haha i was either gonna use an evga gtx 660 superclocked or a evga gtx 670 Comment from : Chanman |
no problem :) Comment from : Milfcraft |
Yes, it did! Thanks :D Comment from : Κύριε ελέησον |
Oh, you must be a patriot Comment from : alteredchild |
:D Comment from : Milfcraft |
Mechanical keyboards make 0 difference
Unless u have ocd Comment from : INCREDIBRU WOW |
But 4 Slot could be used to do 4Sli :D Comment from : Swimy007ful |
whats your graphics card? its one of the most important pieces in choosing your psu i cant tell you if 600 watts will be enough but assuming youre running 1 card it should be just fine hope i helped :) Comment from : Milfcraft |
yes it is possible and to your other question: you have to look for cpu, videocards and drives ssds are really energy-saving and 1-4 hdds wont matter that much but if you run 2 cards i would look at 700 watts and if youre not something about 600 watts hope i helped :) Comment from : Milfcraft |
hey there, any videocard worth of crossfiring/sliing is at least 2 slots wide, so you could only do dual sli/cr :) Comment from : Milfcraft |
Ikr , it's a shame !
Comment from : BFHretards |
I saw the unboxing of S09 and it had 4 Videocard slots, so it should be possible in any way ;p Comment from : Swimy007ful |
Yes, I know I recently bought a 50$ PSU branded KENTEK 850W, from eBay
And it has better sleeving I can't even see the cables through the sleeving This time, Silverstone has cheaped out in sleeving :( Comment from : Max Rubiyo |
Lol my power supply exploded today never buy unknown PSUs Comment from : Max Cojahmetov |
And that, Linus, is why you're awesome and we love you
Hope that the trend of likes on your videos is still increasing If not, I'll have to start working harder! Comment from : Tyler Newlin |
And is it possible to have the Power Supply outside the case? Comment from : Κύριε ελέησον |
How do I know if I need a 750W,850W, 1000W Power Supply etc? Comment from : Κύριε ελέησον |
i was looking at the corsair gs600 v2 Comment from : Chanman |
How are you gonna triple sli on matx board? Comment from : Jokis |
hey i just wanna know if 600w is gonna be enough for this system i wanna build:
corsair 600t case w/ stock fans
intel core i5 2500k
asus p8z77-v
8 gb corsair vengenace ram
1 tb WD caviar black
240 gb kingston hyper 3 SSD
cooler master hyper 212 evo with 2 corsair sp120 quiet fans
and a samsung optical drive
gonna be using it for gaming dunno if im gonna overclock
Comment from : Chanman |
Why wood you need this Comment from : Street Garage |
If i buy a 1000W PSU , it needs a bare minimum of quality !
Like a switch , sleeving (i mean normal sleeving from a 30 dollar PSU)
Comment from : BFHretards |
But if i have a choice between this or something like a corsair ax series power supply, i'll choose the corsair every time Why not have great sleeving for the same price, some people prefer not spending the time to sleeve themselves And no matter how much cable management you do, you're still going to see those horrible yellows when they're plugged into your mobo Comment from : Adam K |
should make use of the green screen--space?? Comment from : YST |
??? What's wrong with mechanical keyboards or aficionados thereof? I'm with you on the sleeving, I just don't get that comment Comment from : David Edward |
modders dont care about default sleeving anywayall that matters is its 100 modular Comment from : Ozil777 |
Oh, interesting
Comment from : Trusteft |
The manual said it had a power switch xD If you look toward the end of the video you can see it Comment from : Fate |
Umm, Linus has built very many computers and in fact, he custom sleeved all of his cables for his own power supply So don't criticize him for criticizing a power supply that could have been a lot better Comment from : Fate |
Why no power switch? Fail Comment from : Trusteft |
Gah, so many youtubers commenting on 'sleeving', I bet you're all 'mechanical keyboard' aficionados too Who cares that this is infact a very good power supply at a good price - if you really care about sleeving you do it yourself (or perhaps buy a kit) and get better results than any stock job, but don't criticise a good product because you a) don't know how to sleeve b) can't be bothered cable routing well Comment from : Andrew Ballard |
I'd much rather get a corsair AX860i power supply Sleeving is MUCH better Comment from : Thomas Griffin |
my apple cable has better sleeving lol Comment from : MrCodzombies101 |
What cable will work with 2 7850 Comment from : Samuel Gerald Jones |
No on/off switch? What is this? The 90's? Comment from : Kazi2812 |

We mes sure things by the Linus measuring standard Comment from : Hiredguns23 |
ah, your right, i was thinking in european prices and everything is here much more expensive :/ Comment from : Profquast |
he wanted likes for the LTT channel, not ncixcom channel Comment from : Pat Pan |
Running tvs 24/7 voids warranties The more you know Comment from : ForkMyDongle |
So ah, why not the updated Silverstone Strider Gold Evolution? Comment from : Joel Klavins |
