@shadowxphoenix8674
however in some cases, you can reposition the header and it will work again just be sure to recover it as soon after and there's always a chance you can lose data along the way when attempting to recover itremember only as a last resort only due to being super expensive if you can't afford having it done personally

@SamuraiSx19
And the problem is if ''we have professionals in our country'' dealing with this kind of problem On the problem with firmware -> can this be damaged if physical damage? (my 2TB Toshiba didn't fall down but I accidentaly lifted the cable while moving and causing the HDD to flip in the air - i caught it, it didn't fall nor was hit But it was working at the moment of this incident so when I connected it to the cable again clicking sound appeared which became constant in rhythmical almost pattern and WIndows couldn't recognize disc)brCan firmware problem be fixed somehow, if it's the case?

@moshuajusic1811
I wish your video came up before all the others telling me I could do it myself lol/smhbrCan you elaborate on the clean room? At first you say a "proper environment" is necessary, but later you say a "clean room" is not necessary So, does opening a drive at home necessarily ruin any chance of recovery? When would opening it at home do damage, assuming I just looked at it and closed it? Thanks!

@indirektdjs
Scare tactics from a company who wants to jack up their revenue Should a complete novice attempt to recover critical data via repair by themselves? Of course not But anyone with some basic electronics know how can solve a number of common drive problems on their own with a few basic tools Why do you not mention checking for bad caps, diodes, or resistors on the pcb? Why do you not mention cleaning contacts or even inspecting the PCB for damage? Why do you not recommend ensuring the power supplied to the drive is sufficient to prevent repeat resetting? Dozens of troubleshooting tips for this kind of problem are widely available and accepted as safe preliminary steps before sending the disk for professional recovery

Hi, I just noticed some clicking on my 4tb seagate external memory, but it's a more quite clicking, like you have to get really close so it can be heard Btw, it was working perfectly 2 days ago Normally, when it gets connected to the power source and to the USB port of the console, it automatically starts running and the blue light starts blinking, but this time that wasn't the case If you guys can help in anything I'll appreciate it immensely

Comment from : @NotRiansLuke

@paulrobertbautista3926
the title should be; why your hard drive is Clicking: anyway it helps me understand that my hard drive is not clicking because of such error but it is only a normal boot click which eventually disappears after the data is read

12 minutes just to tell people, don't fix it yourself but take it to a shop But most people want to learn how to fix it themselves like your title suggested They don't want to spend lots of money to pay you to do it when it could be something they can learn to do themselves to save time and money especially when they just want the opportunity to get their files off the disk
