i like to think it's somewhat balanced between earth/air and fire/water earth/air have things pretty consistent, meaning they don't have any moments of being at a disadvantage fire/water don't have their strengths consistent, as the presence of comet/fullmoon puts them at an advantage, but the absence of the sun/moon leaves them at a disadvantagebrbr(ok now that i think about it, i'm scared that i'm making things up do waterbenders lose their ability to bend when the moon is absent?)

I always figured the reason that airbenders lived in temples so high up was because of the difference in atmospheric pressure as well Even if they didn't have an exact term or science to describe air pressure, I'm sure the difference was noticeablebrAirbending is definitely the bending type with the most environmental factors at play
