I love that the kids are genuinely interested too, their parents are raising them for success -- saving for college but the ownership the mom gives to the kids to make their shopping lists and understand how to analyze if it is a deal, if there is a coupon, if there is a rebate, and the kids are just as excited as the parents They probably have better budgeting skills than most people in their 20s or beyond They don't teach balancing a checkbook in school (you know, something actually helpful in life vs a chemistry class that may or may not ever be useful again outside of a test) so when these kids are in college, they'll be leaps and bounds above their peers Well done family!! And I love the dad was just as into it as the mom, a true family effort

I seriously applaud her as a loving mother, BUT I worry about their health and the resulting COSTS of healthcare from couponing to buy the cheap frankencarbs that are keeping so many Americans sadly entrapped in an unhealthy trend of increased obesity, as we even see childhood type-2 diabetes on the rise from such unhealthy diets (ie the main culprits being the processed foods ridden with seed oils and empty carbs)
