Good repair video but it would have been nice to start with the noise that it will fix

Another thank you for this video, I've replaced ballcocks in the past but that noise was new to me and let's just say the first time I heard it well it was a good thing I had just gone to the bathroom I had no idea what it was coming from, why it was happening, or why Satan had decided now was the time to turn my downstairs bathroom into a portal to hell I never would have been able to trace that noise to the ballcock on my own so again thank you!

As a temp fix I removed the bad washer from the upper fill valve assembly Hum is now gone and I'll pickup a new fill valve on my next trip to the Home Depot That hum was really annoying Thanks for the video

Your toilets fill and connect differently to ours The filler valve is at the top so can be removed even with a full cistern

The water flow is controlled by a valve operated by the float After a few years the washers and pistons in the valve accumalate wear and turbulence occurs as the water flows through the valve The turbulence is audible as a moaning sound In this video he replaces the entire ballcock system which should have a new smooth valve In theory you may be able to take a ballcock apart, just replace a washer and perhaps smooth and clean a few parts to stop the turbulence and the horrible moaning

I have a similar problem, only it only happens at certain times of the day, particularly @ 3pm since summer started I replaced the ballcock, valve, and there is already an arrester attached before the angle stop It still continues to make the loud moaning throughout the house Help!

Never heard that phrase, 'moaning toilet", but my grandfather used to moan, when he sat on the toilet I usually use a sponge to remove the remaining water in the tank Gonna have to try your "hand trick"
