On another note if you get a 2600 in a pre-built PC, and it's already slightly overclocked, I recommend turning off simultaneous multithreading Otherwise performance is lost from slow virtual core usage hindering full utilization It may be different for everybody but you can run benchmark tests with and without it to determine what works better Comment from : geegee number4 |

On my new 2600 I can get 41 ghz AIDA64 stable at around 13v on a B350 board, 40ghz is also appeared to be stable with 121v I could possibly push 42ghz on a better board, it seemed not to like anything below 14v which is a bit risky given the voltage actually changes yellow in bios once I push it past 135v which probably wouldn't be an issue on a more premium board however I wouldn't like to push the B350's VRM's past the motherboards own recommendationsbrbrAs for temps unlike ryzen 1st gen there appears to be two, the CPU temp and the node temp from the cores itself On a custom loop with a 360 rad 60 mins AIDA at 41ghz was getting 54 degrees C on CPU & bouncing around 65-70 on the node Idle both stabilize around 22-24 C Comment from : Flyinspaghetti |
|
