I didn't have any this kind of problem with Windows 7 Only in Windows 10, when you used you own firewall and you won't allow Microsoft process spy on your computer, so they disconnect your net until you restart computer again 🙂

These tips seem kinda dated I guess just a reminder of how fast tech moves These days your router is most likely not the issues for dropped connection as even el cheapo routers can handle a many clients no problem and offer 5ghz band ( on wifi 5) The only exception I can think of is if your router is literally defective model like say the ( netgear ax120) overheating or dyingbut that's kinda rare
