Great remindersi actually had an interview with the University of Alabama last week The interviewers brought up about me being let go from the previous institution (University of Memphis) i tried to keep it professional and to the point without going details However, they did ask me to elaborate a bit more so that threw me off a bit and i felt i kinda had no choice but to explain what happened I didnt rip anyone or the university out of respect brbrMy question for you isHow do i go about answering it without giving them the wrong impression about me and i dont want to lie at the same time I feel its going to be a bit more challenging brbrI appreciate your time and you are doing a fantastic job on the videos and LinkedIn posts

Thanks for this video It was really informative especially the past salary part Do you have advise for someone who left work to start a business and is trying to get back to the corporate world? For instance, a 2 or 3 year gap Salary negotiation If they incurred debt trying to get the business going etc

On the salary expectations question, if they don't disclose it with the job ad, don't bother applying Why would you take a shot in the dark not knowing all the job dimensions unless you were desperate? The interviewers will be trying to get you as cheaply as they can & if that is their culture, ie, they want a low wage employee, they'll get a low motivated employee & that is a loss for both sides & if they do ask about your current salary, be polite & walk away
