To anyone still watching this: Another option besides making the player invisible and turning them visible after the cutscene is to have the player not start with any characters and grant them a character during or after the cutscene This is useful if you want to have the player make choices during the intro that determines their character

Oh wow, and here I thought I'd have to create an NPC and some complicated coding to figure out how to give a name to the main character (player chosen) when they have a button built in for that LOL That saved me a mountain of work and trial and error
