Mindfulness Meditation, and nature, is very powerful! Nothing helps me more when I'm stressed out than to go for a walk in nature and purposefully use all 5 senses to get my mind engaged in something other than what's bothering me I think it grounds us and puts the brakes on that part of our brains that gets stuck in that "wheel of overwhelm" Through your senses, you are letting your mind and body feel that everything is ok in this moment, allowing it to dial down the stress hormones It shows you that there's a whole lot more going on in the big world than your problems, so they feel smaller, and easier to solve, than before It's such a simple, yet powerful thing Comment from : Sweet Stuff |
