This is exactly what I needed I attempted the same job a couple of months ago, but when I couldn’t remove the handle, I gave up Yesterday I bought silicone grease for my pond pump fittings, and got inspired to take another swing at the faucet I had use some “persuasion” on the handle (I’m 99 lbs) but the shroud was impossible With your help I was able to fix something that’s been bothering me for some time now Thanks a million! 看了这么多,你讲的最好。我现在是喷了很多WD-40,等了很久依然无法拿下那个圈。或许我还需要更强效除锈剂和strap wrench。否则就只好换个新龙头。😢 Comment from : 温哥华的鹰 |

Very helpful My shroud was difficult to remove - even with strap wrench I got some zinc oxide cloth sticking plaster and stuck it around the shroud That gave me enough grip to remove it by hand Even if I had needed the wrench, it would have had much better grip than without the plaster Comment from : Peter Zivanovic |

Amazing super like 👍 like 👍 blessings to you 💕😘 Comment from : Juliet |

Great video brOne word of warning from my experience If you’re NOT replacing the cartridge but perhaps you want to simply replace the handle on the tap, avoid spraying WD40 around the top of the cartridge I did this on two taps and the WD40 (once the new one was fitted) made the handle stiff and squeaky and I had to replace two perfectly working cartridges I know you would expect WD40 to lubricate but it seemed to have the opposite effect on moving plastic parts Comment from : John Knight |
I bet the new tap when you turned the new hot water I bet it was very very fire hot Comment from : Ben McDonald |
Put a plug or otherwise block the drain before you start I once dropped that little screw into the drain and its very easy to do Took me twice as long to finish the job! Thanks for the bit at the end showing how you separated the two parts btw Nicely made video Comment from : Chris I |
Sounds like it would be a good idea to get a couple of spare seals when you buy a new tap (if the seal was the only source of this leak) Comment from : Juksemakeren |

I think these leak either from the gasket on the bottom of the cartridge; or the two flat ceramic discs inside the cartridge have worn so the two mating surfaces are not flat anymore so water leaks between thembrYeah it's easier to buy a new cartridge, but I am interested in how could the two ceramic mating surfaces be lapped flat again Comment from : Perinne |

I used 2mm allen/hex key from a set in bunnings But I should've bought the cartridge repair kit, it comes with an allen key, also used a 30mm adjustable wrench to repair a kitchen mixer tapbrRemember bois/gals, you must screw on the nut super tight, have a stream of cold water running to test as you tighten Comment from : Batman |
