i don't understand why'd you still spend hundreds on "presumably" dead gpus they are advertising it as such, you shouldn't have to pay "functioning prices" worth for something that they say is dead

there must be a flyback diode or your board would fry every time the fan motor turned on or off the Motor generates a magnetic field that will travel back on the wire and damage the transistor that turned it on or off

I have a gtx 660 to that been in a computer that was in house fire I cleaned it really good for a good 20mins But there is signs of corrosion Mostly on the solder points I don't want to risk frying my mobo I tested the atx plugs and they all have a connection to each other Is there any chance that this would be a risk? I can't afford to buy new pc parts if something goes wrong I would like to use it for ai computing I have a 5700xt in it but want to pair it with it to help boost the computing needs

For Jono's GPU, I've had that issue and it was just a bad HDMI cable, or one that was not rated for the bandwith Swapping it resolved in my case for a GPU that would randomly loose sync/drop video or loose sync in an observable pattern

I was an idiot and spilled a glass of coke directly through the top grill of my PC getting it on pretty much every single component I immediately turned it off, disassembled every component cleaning it with alcohol and a soft bristled brush Let it dry thoroughly, reapplied thermal paste and it's been fine for over a year since I've brought many components back from the dead via ebay buys using the same method You'd be surprised how often it works lol
