actually, the prize is forcefully controlled by government as well, basically they would ask school to reduce the food cost normally 50 among market price, and government will pay school compensation per student (or some time a fixed amount), there are some corruption issues come with this but is generally not horrible

I was lucky our school lunches had old style mac and cheese great stuff! And I loved cooks choice days As for the American kids living on chips etc, kids whose parents would cook did better My kids brought in leftover homemade soups, goulash etc

I was working at an Aerospace company, and walked by a conference room once, and literally saw an open box of pizza, and a big bag of Peanut M&M's Plus , I think I saw a couple bottle of Sodas and Gatorade Aerospace Engineers living off that crap SMH

I liked some of the school lunches we had, they were cheap versions of TV dinners so for me it was kinda a treat All we ate at home was home cooked

My school food is trash some times u see hair in the food and sometimes u see earings u see all kind of stuff there and the worst thing is they don't allow u to bring food if u do the student affair takes it for herself
