Great video thank you! I cleaned my ps4 three times thanks to your videos and it was fine until I disassembled it again today I was trying to clean some dirt on the metal frame that holds the thermal pads and two of them fall off is it okay to cut little pieces from the other pads and put them on the missing two ?

Just cleaned my mother's ps4, first model & never been opened (you wouldn't beleive the dust I found in there!) Probably the worst I have ever seen! Runs very quiet now, thankyou (any pics of your worst/dirtiest jobs?)

Hello Please some help from anyone My ps4 fat 1200 runs great, but after cleaning services following disassembly videos Now the console doesn't recognize my controller, even usb connected The USB ports have energy because they charge my phone or turn on the portable hdd But a generic USB controller and also dualshock V2 controller connected with USB, nothing happens Now the ps4 it's stuck on safe mode screen, waiting the PS button command, but after tried different micro USB cords and so on The ps4 doesn't detect any USB controller connected I appreciate A LOT some help

nice and simple, i have one it cant take cd inside and can not do the system update, every time i do the update, it brings an error code SU-42118-6 and its on 850

4:31 That method didn't work for me, as I have particularly weak grip Half a year ago, I stuck there and gave up Today, I figured the one in the video cannot be the only way, so I used a flat screw driver to pry it open, and it worked! The rest is relatively easy, it's the part that requires force actually got me, lol So, just a little reminder If you cannot do what TronicsFix did at 4:33, use a screwdriver

I cleaned mine hooked it back up and kept booting in safe mode had to reinitilze the system now its stuck on a blue screen asking me to hit the ps button on controller to continue and it won't work if I hit option button it says can't do this right now

Hope you're monitoring this video but I have the original, not the Pro or the slim, the top piece that slides off the top is not shiny and the screw for the drive is in a different place But they come off normal, I turn it over and remove the warranty stickers but they're the only screws on the back and it doesn't just pop up like how you did it Why ideas? I am trying to remove the CMOS battery Thanks in advance!

This is the 2nd time taking my PS4 apart and I just pulled out the wrong wiring on the power block part Now I have to get it soldered back on The wiring comes out of the power supply and not the board 🤦🏿‍♂️

Have you made a video on, ps4 original power button or eject button doesn't work? I took my ps4 apart and had to put thermo paste in it and when I put it back together the power nor the eject button wanted to work all though the ps4 did turn on But before I did anything the power and eject worked fine, besides the fan being so loud

I finally got fed up of my ps4 overheatting after literally just 1 minute of being on I had taken it apart some before to clean but never all the way and there was a TON of dust Hopefully this fixes it atleast slightly

So I just toredown my PS4 turns it back 3 beeps thinking I'd broke the prongs to the power supply nope turns on I didn't have that plastic bit on the X separating the motherboard and metal sheet I'm so dumb I swear I kept looking at it like you came from the PS4 but were you go I have no idea On the upside I'm slightly more experienced now if that ever happens

I just observed something I feel like the reason the older models sound like a jet is probably because the APU clamp doesn't have an extra plastic piece that holds in more pressure on the APU so that it make perfect contact to the heatsink If there is no proper contact, your APU gets overheated which makes the fan louder I have a newer model(not the slim) bought in 2016 and i haven't cleaned in like 4 yrs(did a month ago), yet it doesn't make noise even while playing GOW /TLOU2 Btw it runs almost 24x7 lol
