Thank you good sir! Can’t believe I had to do pretty much a full teardown just to change the little internal battery Sega had it right with their Saturn in ‘95: just pop open a little cover on the back of the console, swap the battery, done!

Stripped the 3 silver screws next to the hdmi entry that needed ph1 weirdly I unscrewed all the others with a flathead, but these dont know what to do now please help 😔

A tip for everyone who wants to take the bottom cover off Pull the corners away and up from the actual PS4 Makes it 20 times easier

My hdmi is not working for the ps4 and I’ve tried taking it apart but I didn’t go as far as the motherboard I only took the first metal plate off the motherboard Should I go further and see if somethings loose or just ship it to someone who knows what they are doing?brbrI went to the motherboard and cleaned everything out I didn’t see anything wrong w the hdmi port so when I put everything back together it still didn’t turn on maybe I should buy a new hdmi port and replace it instead of getting a ps5?

Thank you I was confused why every other video showed the ps4 having more screws than my ps4, I didn't do the full break down just had to clean out the power core and the fan, playstation is running so much smoother now thanks for making a video for the less common ps4s

Ty manu saved me a good chunk of cash I swapped my fan out in about 3 hrs start to finishits no easy task for someone like me who's never done it and it's not as easy as ur video depicts but it definitely helped me dismantle my ps4 and for 20 bucks off Amazon, I was able to fix it thanks again

PSA power supply connecter comment at 5:35, understand that he is referring to a plug that goes into a piece of white plastic housing, which stays on there Do NOT pull the whole thing off, I just did that because it is hidden in the video and now my PS4 cannot get power

Thanks man! I got a Destiny Limited Edition for christmas and i was stoked to revive this thing While taking it apart it was more than obvious that it was from a smokers home, but thanks to your help once again i was able to fully disassemble it and clean it up like new!

Thanks so much for this video! My son's PS4 was VERY loud and the guides I found were for the launch PS4, the PS4 Slim, or the PS4 Pro I couldn't find anything for a later version of the normal PS4 until I found this video Now his PS4 is much quieter after I cleaned it out and reapplied thermal paste
