You should have mentioned that the Magwell short action kit for Remington 700 is not compatible with 204 and 223 ammo because of the smaller shell diameter Research Compatible with this mag kit

Put one on my 700 in 300 RUM Had to do some grinding to make everything fit inside the mag well and shorten the front of the cheek piece to get the longer mag bolt to come all the way back The Rem 700 comes in 3 different bolt length's Can't get a mag box set up Magpul doesn't make one for the longer 300RUM cartridge Had to use the factory bottom metal

I heard a lot of hunters in the US are happy to use cheapest stocks and grandpa's scope, hence the need to rifles carrying the cheap stock by default In Europe most of us seem to replace with more advanced stocks or chassis as soon as we buy them

I have a Howa 1500 with the Hogue stock I wish Magpul would make a stock and trigger guard replacement for it I asked about the trigger/magazine guard mod and they tell me it won't work with my rifle

I kinda feel like Remington intended the hogue stock to be a throwaway on purpose Kinda like how shop quality bikes don’t come with pedals or just have cheap plastic platforms: because they know the buyer is going to toss them for their preferred style as soon as they take it home

I loved the idea of this stock But for some reason, when i put it on my Remington 700 Sps it starts to spread something fierce I cant get groupings worth shit And i do torque it to spec As soon as i put on the original rinkedydink plastic stock thingy, i get good groups There must be something wrong with my magpul stock No idea why that would be

Will the Hunter 700 stock work with a BDL DM from the mid 90's? This was right after they started making them with the factory detachable box mag Before the CDLs came out The action out of the stock looks identical to the one in your video I assume that it would work as it does not have the blind floor plate I assume that I would be locked into using the magpul bolt action mag well

I used the original action screws, but when I got it all torqued I found that the empty magazine would not seat with the bolt forward With the bolt back the magazine will seat, but I can hear the bolt rubbing across the top of the feed lips when pushing it forward I called Magpul and was told that the screws that come with the SPS Tactical AAC-SD are not true Remington BDL action screws and that I would need to order replacementsbrbrI doubt that different length screws will make a difference as it seems to me that they will simply screw into the action further It looks to me that the trigger guard assembly is sitting too far into the stock causing the magazine to sit too close to the bolt, even though it seems to be sitting flushbrbrAnyone have any ideas on this?

One issue I came across is my rifle is chambered 223 brbrSoo I cant seem to find the AICS magazine All the magpul magazine wells I find are for 308 or something other than 223 love the stock but maybe it's not meant to be to run the magazine any thoughts?
