Watching on January 8, 2020 Did you sell all of your Bitcoins??? Comment from : Gmail Address |
Do you have any more information on these cards? I am wanting to DIY something like this for AI research and development Comment from : Andrew York |
Was there every any follow,up? Comment from : Laser resaL |

don't waste time programming somthing which you don't even have the schematics of just harvest the components and increase your inventory Comment from : Abrahim Sabir |
The IDT71V016 are 64Kx16 12ns rams, presumably to hold the block/hash while the AISC works on thembrProbably quite expensive at the time, now maybe £1 eachbrI'm confused at what the Analog Devices chips are doing there? DSP's are normally used for floating point, and AFIK there is no FP in BC mining? Comment from : horse1066 |
The two chips are CPLDs, a quite restricted performance and capabilities FPGA in simple termsThe device at 2:08 is a CPLD propably dedicated for the JTAG interface, from which you can get things like monitoring some of the system performance signals etc Comment from : MeTuber |
thats a pice of bitcoin mining histoy Comment from : RandomGameplayer |
FPGA Mining and bitcoins mining is about for some people to sell that kind of cards!!! Comment from : Theseus |
There is no way those will ever mine at 21GHs! Comment from : Ken Olsen |
the xilinx chip at 2:00 is a xc95108 a CPLD with 108 macrocellsbrobsolete now according to datasheet Comment from : Borgar |
20 GH are you sure Comment from : Anddosdd |
I'm working on application, I need balance to test it, you will rewarded when is online, please subscribe to keep in touch and donate brbrMy Bitcoin address : 19F9rv8uQgehDKyJDnQCNEUS3AS7PjULiwbrbrThanks Comment from : Luciano Mazzeo |

I switched from mining myself to cloud mining You can buy mining equipment instantly and the earnings are applied to your account cexio/r/1/Donter/0/ Comment from : Petr Bouzek |
Have you tried these in linux Maybe they work out of the box in ubuntu??? Comment from : Roy van Kuik |
i know they arent CPUs :p it would be so awesome to get one and prgram it to help me with my calculations :) Comment from : Aroop Roelofs |
how can you canfigure an fpga for bitcoin mining? i mean is there any special programming machine for that or can everybody do that? Comment from : tessc |
They cannot mine at 21ghthat is the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard If they could they would sell for WAY more than 99p You might get 21mh out of them Comment from : FBA Mogul |
do you actally mine with it? Comment from : Aroop Roelofs |
it is not the truth, it will not earn for itself in month because of mining difficulty change Comment from : Łukasz Lewicki |
sadly theres ASIC chips for btc mining which from what i've heard are heaps more efficient and faster BFL has an upcoming PCI-E based btc miner coming out soon called the 'monarch' that will mine at 600gh/s sadly it costs nearly $5,000 but you could easily make that money back in a month with a single card! :) Comment from : Tyler Walker |
part number?
Comment from : Tesfa Berhanu |
The ModMiner runs 4 Spartan 6 chips and estimated at 840 Mh/s - 1Gh/s - Would be interesting to see what hash rate you can get however with correct drivers Comment from : crabnebulamusic |
Yeah i think current Xilinx Spartan 6 Chips is maybe based on your 21Gh/s calculation however even with 8 you would get sub 2Gh/s Comment from : crabnebulamusic |
so actually you CAN make a really fast sciencific computer with this? Comment from : Aroop Roelofs |
Those are Xilinx XC4020's(all discontinued) the series ran in the 200-300Mhz range and only had 15k gates The RAM chips are likely 64kb to 256kb (max these chips could use) Any driver that exists would be specialized and archaic and would probably need windows 95 at best A new Xilinx chip would smoke this entire array and would costs $10 and programming kits are available FPGAs are not ideal for bitcoin mining, You might be better off using a nVidia CUDA driver on your video card Comment from : Nick Steele |
whats the name and model of the card?? Comment from : SPRINGCANDY_PT |
trade the bitcoins you mined for dollars
ALL BANKS ACCEPT DOLLARS
MY LANDLORD FUCKING LOVES DOLLARS
MY SUPERMARKET CANT GET ENOUGH OF MY DOLLARS
even i dont know wtf your talking about on the last one Comment from : Sarge |
Did you ever find a use for the cards? Comment from : Javier J |
Martin anyone can dribble on with delusions
That never qualifies as a real answer
YOU HAVE NOT ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS IN THE AFFIRMATIVE
You have outlined a multiple step program which ONLY works with very very very isolated people Incidentally the #1 exchange was closed down by govt when THEY decided
L-O-S-E-R Comment from : wavepattern |

Too bad its not pci-express Comment from : Jame Gumb |
Haha, the fact that i've actually answered your questions when you thought that no one would be able to, you've just managed to epically fail
Thanks and goodbye Comment from : Martin Rickard |

Could i ask if they could really do 21Ghash/s why would some one sell them for 99p ? Comment from : pokemontoxicrpg |
did you get it to run? Comment from : TheTrueCBaer |
now go configure :D Comment from : krcn00b |

question whats a fpga card? Comment from : thecope125 |
actually do some research, I sunk 10 grand into a setup a few months ago YOu see the more you spend the faster you can pay off your equiptment costs I payed off my setup in about 2 months and m making well over a hundred grand a year now The scheme I believe is in this company called butterfly labs who claim they are going to make and ship these amazing miners on preorders This is the scheme not bitcoin itself and its benefits If you know computers you can easily make a set up with some $ Comment from : Deathphase |
Um i think your stupid Comment from : داود |
Hey Guys, I feel that the new 'Miners' being developed by Bitfountain, Avalon, KnCMiner, etc ARE A BIG SCAM First why would you want to give away for less than what you can make off of those machines! And they are always promising to ship out the machines, one of them has taken a YEAR and still they are not shipping out!!!
If you find this information helpful please help me I 'm a collage student who is lay-offed of work Bitcoin: 1CeD9UZnkS4GisrTJJDbmP9AjJEgV6EUEx Thanks Guys Comment from : wontoofree_123 |
wow just wow research before you comment cretin Comment from : Daniel Rose |
Hmm ik think dsptoolscom does prototyping for a lot of companies One of them is Becton Dickinson I think the type "BDDSP" on the controller cart might suggest it's one of theirs So maybe they can help you with drivers
Also have you actually put it in your pc to see what happens? It can give you a good idea what drivers you are actually looking for if you look at the hardware strings Comment from : TheTerracide |
Fack you !!! Comment from : Крещеный Зверь |
r u crazy ? what is this video !!! Comment from : ALAA MURAD |
So did you get the proper configuration? Comment from : Omar2788 |

can you help me build such a device I did not understand very well the iron, but I hope for your quality care willing to pay for your work, if the assembled device will go into operation details available to talk on Skype vasilijvg Thank you! Comment from : Василий Галкин |
Don't lie they are 200$ each! Comment from : Voodoo Hack |
Yep you are looking in the wrong place, there is someone on the forums who builds 2GH/s for <$350usd Comment from : bob smith |
so are they for sale?
Comment from : MileHigh TrapKing |
nice Comment from : Mick |
I must be looking at the wrong places!!
I can't find ANYTHING that can do 1 or more GH for less than 500€
I mean I can't find anything that I can buy and get it right now (in less than a month)
I could buy the 5GH Jalapeno, but for what? To get it "as soon" as December? No thanks! Comment from : Chinoman10 |
seems about right Comment from : Ryan Willis |
What kind of Xilinx chip is on the boards? Comment from : DulceSeeker |
if you know something about bible you know bitcoin maybe it's 666 maybe later you don't need a computer, just embed a chip into your hand , forehead , whatsoever,, and you can make a deal holly crap if you want to survive in the future you gonna need this,, badly find many bitcoin for your future living man I am serious Comment from : Love IYOU |
Damn mate, I would love to have them cards in my hands to fiddle around with em and would be real good tool to teach my self some assembly, you lucky git for having them cards for that price Comment from : ValugaTheLord |
How would I be able to mine Litecoins with these cards? Comment from : nutcrakerz |
Future FPGA will support opencl api directly
Bad news for GPUs Comment from : mikeccuk2005 |
I'm pretty sure that the Section 75 protection would only protect me if PayPal went bust between transferring the money from the credit card to the Paypal account, and paying for the item because the contract is with PayPal, not the seller Also, PayPal's user agreement states that you would be in breech of their terms and conditions if you open a dispute with your card company for a payment to them PayPal are b*stards when it comes to refunds for something which is not part of their policy Comment from : CarlsTechShed |
Check with your credit card company, but for me the Section 75 protection goes through PayPal and to the merchant giving you end-to-end protection ie I've paid for things using a credit card and PayPal and had the bank confirm that if the company goes bust that I am still protected despite having had the payment go through PayPal Just something to think about Comment from : Merlin Himself |
I would much rather spend my money placing a bet that Butterfly Labs will go bust before a single unit gets shipped Anonymous payments means they will take your money and run Comment from : CarlsTechShed |
Mining bitcoins now after the bubble has burst is to no use Comment from : Adam Risberg |
Thirdly, nobody seems to have ever received their unit! Everybody is speculating as to when they will be shipped but they always claim they are "still testing the ASICs" I would not be surprised if one day, you go to their website and it's been taken offline and they've done a runner with everybody's BitCoins and non-reversible PayPal payments Comment from : CarlsTechShed |
Secondly, I have been watching their site for many months and last October, they said they plan to start shipping the units "before Christmas" Now it is April 2013 and they now say they will start shipping "at the end of April" Comment from : CarlsTechShed |
Well Butterfly Labs "CLAIM" to have developed a series of ASIC Miners and are taking pre-orders now However their whole operation seems a bit suspect to me because they only take payment for pre-orders by BitCoin or PayPal - no credit or debit cards! If they took credit cards, I would pre-order one tomorrow because if it doesn't arrive, I simply put in a Section 75 claim under the Consumer Credit Act and get a refund Comment from : CarlsTechShed |
This set of cards was manufactured in the year 2000 so at the time, they were top of the range Comment from : CarlsTechShed |
Because most modern FPGA boards may contain one FPGA These boards were custom designed and have 16 FPGAs with dedicated memory for each FPGA Comment from : CarlsTechShed |
Well according to somebody who was originally bidding against me on eBay for them (before he withdrew his bid and I was the only other bidder), they were a one-off design by DSP Tools so I would be surprised if you received much change out of £20,000 (US$ 29,000) Comment from : CarlsTechShed |
It's all about how you configure them The hash rate was calculated by the number of gates in each FPGA and the speed of the FPGA itself, times 16 (the number of FPGAs across the boards) Comment from : CarlsTechShed |
Again, it's all about how you configure them If you use a sloppy half-ass FPGA configuration, you may well get less than that, but calculated on the number of gates and the speed of the FPGAs themselves, 21GH/s is achievable Comment from : CarlsTechShed |
These are ancient and have no means of producing 21Ghash, this is the product of a dumbass It uses XC4020XLA chips
You can Google the specs of them Comment from : weareNaation |
Still goodImagine how much these cards must have cost 12 years ago Comment from : Machine Koder |
