He has labelled the Supply and Demand curves wrongly - they are the opposite to what he shows What he depicts as a Demand Curve is in fact a Supply Curve - Also NOTE: increases in Demand are a serious of Demand Curves moving out to the right hand side of a Price diagram - showing a larger quantity being wanted by Customers at any given price, a movement along the demand curve upwards is an Extension in Demand - there is no shift in Demand at all - Send him back to School!
