It's way less if a hassle to grind structures than to manually grind rocks You should revisit your starting process lots of room for efficiency and speed improvements

one of my goto mods that i won't play with out is Automatic ore pickup does just what it says make the early game alot more enjoyable

Oh, man, I just saw this first episode This scenario is hard I've attempted it once, and failed miserably I expected the waves to attack me, but noo, they went straight for the beacon I hoped I can prep properly on site, but no, as you get close the waves start, barely any prep before so you need to bring what you think you'll need I thought I get some stuff between the waves from salvage, but it was hard There will be a lot of small ships, as you might expect There's very little prep time before and between the waves so perhaps have 1 big ship that you can just sit on top of the beacon, and a small ship that can attack and also can repair every turret and cannon you have I'd also consider another functionality: some sort of a tub with grinders, like a grinder pit, but for space, so you can grab a few wreck and get some ammo and resources - not sure how much time you'll have for that though brBut it will be fun! I'm interested, mate Keep going! 🙂

Depressurizing let's you keep more oxygen when you don't have an airlock

Depressurise allows you to suck out the air from a room into a tank so that you don't lose it when you open the room to space (like you did when you opened both doors at the start of the episode) On a planet with oxygen, a depressurising vent on the outside of a vehicle or building can fill oxygen tanks and pass oxygen to vents inside sealed rooms to oxygenate them, all without needing ice This is especially useful when on planets or in areas with low oxygen levels, so that you can make sure that a room or cockpit has high oxygen levels (and/or that you have a filled oxygen tank) to allow you to refill your suit/bottles oxygen or work with keeping to need to refill with O2

You have 3 forward Ion engines and 2 upward ions, grind down one of each and you now have the parts to make a drill straight away you can replace those two engines later onbrbrGrind down the air vent and the doors (i consider them a useless distraction), you are in a space suit so use that to help conserve your airbrbrIce asteroid is the best base 🙂

Regarding air vents: Every time you open the door, you lose oxygen Which means losing ice Depressurizing just stows the air in tanks so it doesn't blow away when you open the door

This certainly reminds me of a good few times I've rebuilt the starting Ship too! Though often I had to dock it to something with a merge block to be sure it would remain in existence

why didn't you route the drill straight through the front windshield directly inline with the survival Kit? You could have saved all the materials from the conveyor junction, and still maintained the airtightness (if thats a word) of you cabin

you can adjust the settings after the world is started by double clicking the folder icon left or right i cant recall off hand but after that you click on teh save file/backup that is in it and go to edit settings

even that scouting resources can take a sh** ton of time i mostly like to start as a space nomad and the ship is a perfect start base to build upon looking forward for what you do about it

what i did was make a large solar array with batters for emergency recharge it just sites there charging when im running around

Yeah the basic space pod is a good starter vehicle it has everything you'd need except solar panels tho those are quickly obtainable anywaybrBut it could definitely use a straight up cockpit I find those way more reliable than control seats

Hi pandemic, @ 16:40 i like to remove the airvent cause i always forget to close it ( loose unnecessary air) and instead put the basic assembler there

The air vent control is for people like you who are horrible about using an airlock properly To prevent wasting ice, can just stop pressurizing the cockpit and rely on the O2 bottle

You depressurize the cockpit because it doesnt have an airlock setup So every time you open the door, you vent the air to spacebrbrSo, depressurize> open door >exit cockpit area and vice versa
