Love your beautiful collection of Cacti and Succulents! Those did need watering poor things! It was the beginning of Covid-19 and everyone was frightened and nervious to stay indoors, at least we had the plants to pass the time! Thanks Lyn for sharing! I think that is the way forward Lyn during early to mid spring:- water carefully only if they look shrivelled I have several Echinocereus cacti which are clearly already growing new prominent spines from the crown (Easy to tell as you know, always a different blend of colour to last years growth on the rainbow varieties) As they are still relatively plump I feel like I want to allow the arid conditions continue for abit longer How do you manage your echinocereus rainbow cacti in your collection at this time of year with watering?, as well as the other incredibly rot sensitive cacti like, (Mila, Aztekium, Espostoa, Ariocarpus) etc

Happy Spring, Lyn! brIt's so exciting seeing everything waking up and starting to grow again My tropicals are doing fantastic and I just propagated some string of hearts this week and they had little root nubbins forming in only a day! Usually they just rot on me, so I knew the season was definitely changing lol brI could definitely see you guys running a botanical garden Your collection is so beautiful and well maintained You have very happy plants indeed!

Hi Lynn I just wondering when I should stop watering the cactus as we are about to go into later autumn and it is just about to end daylight saving but we are still having some warm days which my cactus house is still getting up around mid 20 and do you fertilize them before they go into winter rest

Yes Lyn, it's been spectacular weather here in the Ozarks!! Yesterday it was 82°F and today it is 80! Had to open the windows on the greenhouse this morning! First fresh air this spring!! Yes I've had my lophos split a bit from the first watering but not too bad All my cactus and succulents have been watered , watered everyone yesterday I use a pump sprayer for the higher shelves also Can't wait to start bringing every thing out for the season ( spring exodus) everything is looking good and blooms are coming on!!! From Morris park in the Ozarks to across the Emerald isle, have a WARM, safe week end!! And rememberPeace , Love ,Plants!!!!✌💖🌵🌼🌿🌹🌱
