I have both systems and even some of the same games on both as well I play on a Sony Bravia 4k HDR (2017) and I honestly can't tell the difference when I play them I know you guys dive into super tech and spec fps counts and all, but when it comes to playing the games like us normal people do - you can't really tell a difference at all I do play more on the PS4 pro though because there's more people online and more games If someone asked me which to buy, I'd say PS4 Pro definitely I really only turn on the One X just to see if I can see any difference but don't For now the One X is basically my 4k Blu Ray Player and that's really it Oh and a lot of games I played on both - I think the PS4 Pro actually looks slightly better too Comment from : Uber Lyft Nick |

Hi Digital Foundry, brI could closely compare this game on both PS4 pro and OneX systems I found out quite disappointing things on OneX It's worth mentionning that I disabled HDR as I'm not a fan on this game (visuals look softer, a bit washed out on my TV) As well, I like to play at 60fps, but the ps4 pro 1080/60 version had much aliasing on edges, so I was expecting the oneX to outperform it, and it does on that point, for a cleaner result However, the oneX 60fps version doesn't look as good overall: I notice a clear downgrade in lights and shadows VS Ps4 pro (missing ambiant occlusion?), resulting in a blurrier and less contrasted / detailed image Moreover, this mode has a few missing effects VS Ps4pro (example, water surface details) brThe same goes for the 4k mode regarding disapointing light management on oneX, which moreover looks inferior VS ps4 pro due to a bit more aliasing I've ended playing the game in enriched mode on OneX: shadows/contrasts are fine with more details, close to 4k resolution, clean edges, but no 60fps brFinally, I was really expecting oneX version to solve input lag issues for this game, but it doesn't! Both 4k and enriched modes seem as laggy as on ps4 pro Note: when HDR is on, the ambiant occlusion issue on 60fps and 4k is no more So overall, the oneX version doesn't seem that better than Pro May you give us your thoughts about all modes with and without HDR, and post a new comparison video? I can see the PS4 Pro version looking better than the Xbox X in some spots and the Xbox X looking better than the PS4 Pro in some spots as well In general I certainly don't see an overwhelming increase in graphics as I would expect with a $49900 price tag and supposedly much more powerful hardware That's just me though - I game in 4K at ultra on my PC for mostly single player campaigns and FPS type games and play sports games and exclusives on my original PS4 I'd like to upgrade to the Pro or X but I am not interested in the $50000 price tag of the X but i'm also not interested in the Pro at $40000 after being out for a full year now If the Pro can drop down to $30000 I can see it being a worthwhile purchase or I would like the X at $40000 due to the 4K player it has Comment from : Red Nose Robber |

The graphic quality and standards are so high by now that comparisons become more and more ridiulous in my opinion because no matter if you look at the standard PS4, the Xbox One (S), the PS4 Pro, the Nintendo Switch or the Xbox One X: All of those look great to me and personally I do not give a shit if some textures are defined a little bit better on one system or the other, I also do not really notice a remarkable difference between 30FPS and 60FPS All I care about are games and to me ALL of those consoles have great games (Microsoft should focus a little bit more on exclusive titels than on hardware specs though) Long story short: In my opinion those comparisons are senseless by now and do not catch my interest at all I am rather annoyed by the weighting of some minor technical details some consumers and reporters seem to be wanking over all day long Comment from : Felix S |
