I like to do small twists They looked nice and moisturized but when it was time for me to unravel them, the ends were sooo dry and tangled and I had a tiny bit of breakage 😮brHow to I maintain my ends moisturized with twists?? Comment from : @any8574 |
Lindsaychris has super lush long hair She twists it She is amazing The only thing that is that she is overweight and when you are slim like yourself (me too), we are not going to copy her diet, which is nutrient dense but is also too high in calories I am trying to find a super dense diet without all those extra calories Comment from : @naturalhealing7209 |
Do you have a nail routine? You have beautiful nails 😊 Comment from : @luvelyjay |

Thank you for sharing You are correct protecting the ends is the key to length Comment from : @fixedmybrokenhair |
Coconut 🥥 olive 🫒 and avocado 🥑 oil should ONLY be used as a pre poo before you shampoo your hair A good oil that seals moisture into your hair is Grapeseed That’s what a cosmetic chemist said Mix your leave in w that You said you use aloe Vera as your leave in right? Comment from : @ari-jv5oi |
Hi Is your hair low or high porosity? I sadly don't have success with length retention even using leave in conditioner, hair grease and wearing wigs 🤷🏾♀️ Comment from : @kriseme4734 |
You are loved by God as well ❤ Comment from : @T-Ttt |

Please remember that Also eating healthy is so important I had a condition called pica and when I stopped my hair grew back so full ❤ Comment from : @kinettemay |

I'm new to my natural 4C hair journey and I have learnt so much from this video & your responses in the commentsbrI actually never knew that our hair could be this soft, bouncy and hydrated 😮, definitely a sign for me to step up my hair care game Comment from : @CalypsoK |

VERY interesting! When you said that you used aloe, did you mean aloe vera juice, aloe directly from the plant itself, or is there an aloe vera or aloe oil? Comment from : @melanielovick-lugo3118 |

What you say is true I literally just wash conditioned and moisturized my daughters hair put it in 12 braids and kept it for three months at a time and her hair was at her tailbone at 5 years old just leave your hair alone and it will grow😊 Comment from : @mahoganygordon7953 |
Just a gentle reminder that hair growth is also genetic My growth may be quicker because of how it runs in my family but it will not be the same for others Plus hair requires patience and continuity You have to be calm with things related to your hair, from combing to washing and braiding You also have to continue with the hair process, keep putting oil and water in your spray bottle and spray it, keep deep conditioning I really hope this helps someone out there Comment from : @loisisimhanze1913 |
😍😍😍 Comment from : @jaziesjournal |

This is not doing nothing! Comment from : @Michelle-pn9xt |
Your hair texture is not 4c You do not have to say your hair type is 4c because you are black Your hair texture MAY be 3c Comment from : @Michelle-pn9xt |
I can't believe the comments saying this isnt 4C hair 😂 This is definitely 4C I have the same kind, density too 😅 Comment from : @renerenewed |
Hi Tia Lynn ! 😊 Just spying your channel and discovering a very interesting lady who shares the same minimalist hair philosophy as me ! 😄 Apparently, the "less is more" way of dealing with hair is the key to retain quality length, whatever the hair texture I was always convinced about this, but never really could witness it on a 4 hair type So pleased to see that you proved me right : your hair is gorgeous aaaaaaall the way down, looking super soft and bouncy altogether You can grow it further with confidence ! 👍🏼👍🏼💜 Comment from : @bernardinelermite1133 |
I might be speaking for both of us or just me but I don’t like my 4c hair at all but I do love it at this point 😂 Oh and winter my hair doesn’t feel like 4c type at all it’s extremely easy to maintain during that season Comment from : @colorrookie5539 |
I wish I had committed to this during the p-demic; would've been rear-length by now Missed opportunity, but now a new goal! 🥅📃brYou're beautiful, inside and out Enjoy those lovely locs💖 Comment from : @TheBLESS-edOne |
First you seem so sweet and I love how soft spoken you are Second, Im so happy to see that Im not alone in doing this process I tell people all the time to leave the hair alone and let it grow I literally braid my own hair in box braids all winter I oil my ends with olive oil and thats it My hair is 3 inches from tailbone length My goal length Granted my hair grows really fast but leaving it alone definitely sped up the process Thanks for sharing❤ Comment from : @meatiethatsme2471 |
You are beautiful Comment from : @cleartrueblue66 |
I want to grown my hair but I just hate the way protective styles look 😢 Comment from : @samslayerr |

Aww yeah I wish I have seborreic dermatitis I wash once a week and even that is not enough All of the medicated shampoos recommend twice a week I could not go that long without a wash But I do need to be more gentle when I take my twists down each week I usually take them down on the go Comment from : @StaciaB1 |
Your tooo adorable Tia 🥰🥰brbrSo beautiful & soft spoken ! Beautiful hair ❤❤❤ Comment from : @khadija5020 |
Hey beautiful empress, i like like you empress⚘ an would really like to get to really know you, Am not just saying that, i mean all of what i have said an saying Comment from : @ravereviews2552 |
I love this video! Low manipulation is key to healthy hair growth and length retention I learned to keep my ends soft by spraying distilled water on my ends apply a conditioner spritz that I made and sealing it with bees wax My ends stay soft for three months! I also wrap them in yarn similar to African threading but I only do it on my ends—-the rest is simple banding 😊 I’m almost waist length! Comment from : @Gladiator_in_a_Suit |
Tbh I do the same exact thing and my hair been getting longer Only thing is one side is longer than the other in the front but it’s getting there Comment from : @captivatedlunt1895 |
I will like to use the gel on my whole hair ❤🎉😅 Comment from : @leoniaabbott7647 |
It looks so low maintenance as I have school and sport (not much sweat) and i don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to my hair everyday, but doing it on sunday would be great, I’m trying this!❤ (i just cut like 15cm bc it was damaged and since i’m a child i have always wanted long hair so i never cut it but didn’t take care of it like i should’ve do!) Comment from : @inestalleux5021 |
I just shared your channel with my daughter I was able to get her 4c hair to waistlength and now that she is older, I'm done! I've taught her alot of things, but it was nice to find a 4c natural with the same length to help her retain and grow even more Comment from : @lisaotj9676 |
Are you black or mixed and if so what heritiage just curious ?😁🥰 Comment from : @teliah3922 |
Do you moisturize your hair at all during the 7-10 days it’s in braids? Comment from : @ghaliahnanya3712 |
Hi, that you do it nice it very you take your time about it it pushes over Comment from : @Rose-AimeeCimper-dn9ht |
The nice nastiness in these comments is crazy 😭💀 Comment from : @MAMIHUANA |
Do you get regular trims? Comment from : @isaisu822 |
No heat, except for deep conditioning, the baggy method for your ends, and trimming your ends I now set my relaxed hair in a rod set and it feels and looks great! Don't forget Biotin, fish, complex carbs, iron and nutrients Scalp detox, and regular scalp massages Comment from : @Nat-mw3bz |
I wanna play in it tho!!! 🤦🏾♀️😩😂 no truly great advice! My go to is Bantu knots so when I need a more fun look, I can take my hair down pretty quickly and get a beautiful curl, but I do have to put her back up in a day or two, otherwise she dries out Been doing braids and twists more recently My best results came from keeping her braided under a sew in for about 4 months, which got her from shoulder to mid back length by the end of last year Leaving her moisturized and left alone for another month or so before we end the year with another sew in Happy growing Naturalistas! Comment from : @DreamHer3 |
Wonderful video! Thanks for sharing You have a very soothing voice and I enjoyed seeing your process 😘❤️🙏 Comment from : @LalaJoy777 |
😭 I don't feel everyone can grow long hair I feel thys genetics and at a curtain time your hair will stop growing naturally so I feel not everyone can have long hair Comment from : @jojosubkim6801 |
Perfect tutorial!! I do the same except my braids are larger- less tangles AND I use Blue Magic in my ends to twist Comment from : @daphnejackson4348 |
African pride pre-poo!👀☕ AMZING slipspeeds everything up detangles like a dream and takes down like a dream as well It key ingredient are aloe & coconut waterthats the key to the slip Ocra, aloe, slipery elm anything mucousy (add a bit of glycerin) and you can make an amazing detangler yourself) These are some of the main ingredients our ancestors would use to detangle🎉🎊🪩💃🏾🌻🙌🏾 Comment from : @SwearWerdDebris |
Hello My goal is to have waist length hair Thank you for sharing your hair tips Comment from : @DarasDelights |
This was awesome! I loved seeing what you do to your ends I’m going to try that! Comment from : @j2cute4u4eva |
As a 4C woman myself, it is a little frustrating to see 4C in the title hoping for a routine that is beneficial for 4C hair, only to see the texture be a 4B/4C mixture Nonetheless, your hair is beautiful! Comment from : @ultravioletmix33 |
New subbie! I agree less manipulation is best! I have a video on using satin sachets on my ends you might like Comment from : @DrSimpleBeauty |
I guess my biggest problem is trying to figure out how not to comb my hair…I know combing can cause breakage But I have thick hair so I shed a lot and if I don’t get the majority of my shed hairs out I have SUCH a hard time detangling 😭 the tangleteezer detangling comb is the gentlest one I’ve used so far and the flexible silicone teeth really seem to only pull out my shed hairs because i can see the bulb but idk I hope I’m not screwing my hair up 😩 also fairy knots are the absolute bane of my existence but maybe my ends aren’t as moisturized as they should be? Comment from : @fatimah230 |
I’ve started the oil and water method and it has changed the game Comment from : @artisticagi |
This is a great way to grow your hair and the combination of when doing braided styles ( box braids, fulani braids etc ) not getting it done by people who cause so much tension and will rip through your hair Comment from : @moonlx1139 |
Yep, men dont have all this fancy crap yet their hair (if they dont have the balding genes) usually looks great My sister hates doing hair and would cut a lot and it would grow so fast despite her doing nothing Comment from : @feliznavidad6958 |
Take vitamin D supplements and it’s good for your hair also Comment from : @QueenEsther414 |
Hi Tia I just discovered your channel and your idea for the ends of your hair is perfect No more knots and tangles Thank you Comment from : @michellejones3230 |
'FEARFULLY & WONDERFULLY MADE' PERTAINS TO THE HAIR, ALSO THANKS FOR SHARING! Comment from : @willenerose1805 |
Ok this topic had been on my mind for two days ive noticed that since I've been natural for 3 yrs my hair hasn't really grown as to when i used to blow dry set every week and half or so my hair was longer fuller beautiful fro i have 3c hair there are a few culprits like my hashimotos disease and overall health but yeah that's just me everyone is differentnice vid🙂 Comment from : @ITTGIrL21 |
I don’t want to have to look like this in my youth I want to have pretty feminine hairstyles Switch my style from time to time Comment from : @damselindenimanddior3580 |
What’s your hair type? Comment from : @farrahforever0210 |
Hi, I have been researching a ton on hair length retention and you are one of the first people I've seen who styles their hair exactly like me!!! ^^ Braiding my hair in plaits and leaving it alone for a week and a half at a time has been a life saver I'm currently mid-back length, and I was wondering how often do you trim your hair? I used to never trim and was afraid It caused me to have horribly thin dyed hair I have a much finer diameter of hair 3c I have been trimming every two months now for the past year and a half and my hair is now thick from scalp to ends, but now I'm wondering if I can go longer without doing so because I really want to reach waist length On top of that I rarely ever have my hair out, so maybe I'm over trimming? I’m just scared of having stringy ends I'd love to hear how you go about that :) Comment from : @coconut2227 |
Do you have any videos with short hair or was your hair always long? Comment from : @bloomingbeauty156 |
I just don’t understand why protective styles are the only way to retaining length!? I want to enjoy my hair, not have it hidden in order for it “grow”? It just doesn’t make any sense no other demographic has to do this to make their hair grow Comment from : @DoritosLocosTacoss |
I already don’t do anything The only thing I’m not doing is massaging my scalp daily Comment from : @starluv7116 |
Been doing this each time I want to regrow my hair & it works do nothing as my mom says keep ya hands out your hair & leave it alone best piece of advice I ever got 😊 I am growing outt to waistlength as of Jan2023 using the leave it alone method I am so happy so far I officially reached the starting point of growth just passed my regrow from trim now we wait 😁 Comment from : @Well_dunnWell_dunn |
Thanks for sharing,God bless everyone on here❤ Comment from : @NickeshaLovelaceJesusismyKing |
