Good video I have blooming orchids for years now The secret for me is I talk to them, tell each one how lovely it is I water (soak) them only one every two weeks and give them vitamins at that time I have one who is the champion of all champions blooming three spikes and the flowers last for 4 months No kidding

First thing is wet the roots so they are more pliable Take the moss plug out, soak your bark for a day and rinse it will A lot of dirt will come off Rinse the roots before replanting

The moss you were pulling off the orchid, is sphagnum moss, not peat moss If you open the bag of peat moss you had sitting there, it would look more like a soil The sphagnum moss really should not be reused because it breaks down over time
