You did change the harmonics I would have installed a snubber on the barrel Interesting way you bedded the pillars Interested in a longer barrel and a head job

What you call “flyers” look a lot like a regular grouping in a subpar factory rifle If you don’t discount the “flyers” all of those groups are fairly consistent The rifle shoots minute of deer, and that’s all it was meant to do I’ve never found not believing what the target is telling me to be productive

Pressure bed the barrel out near the end you'll get a 1 inch group and get rid of it as a hunting rifle it's never going to be a long range shooter it's too inconsistent already

Gun snobs: I have a Savage Axis that I put a Shilen Barrel on and many of the guys at my club called me nuts and not in my right mind I love setting up next to these guys with weatherby's, howas, Sako, and the likes, and shooting groups less than half of what they are shooting All from a rifle I spent less than $1200 on And half of it was optics cost It gets real quiet around🤣 They can't stand it It's because I know how to develop a f*cking round and I shoot a lot

I’ve done this with the home made pillars I use a dermal and cut into my pillars So when the set them They have more to bite too Did this on 4 rifles 1/2 moa or better After the work

Looks like you did a good job on the bedding The issues probably comes from the barrel, Mossbergs aren't known for their accuracy If you swap the barrel for a better one you should have a good shooter brbrOf course the rifle may not like that load, but it still shouldn't be printing that large of a group

Just curious, but what was the condition of the barrel? Crown looked good, no bad copper fouling? Did you lap the locking lugs or lap the barrel at any point?
