is it home or pro? I just bought a workstation hp z820 and it has duel processors with a total of 16 cores It has home now, but the home version only detects one processor I don't know exactly what that means but it's working, I'm on it now I just don't know if it's using both processors? If not I only have 8 cores I do know that the video car has to be changed to use the input on my 60" TV HDMI

I am confused and disappointed in the analysis A OS in this case is for a specific purpose A server OS is not designed for consumer use like rendering or gaming It is for managing a network with enhanced security A single use user wouldn't realise the potential of a server OS in their daily usage What may have been better is comparing say Pro versions throughout the series (win2k to W10)

Would be interesting to see the same test comparing all levels of windows, not only Pro and Server, but Home and S-mode too, maybe even PEbrAlso interesting to see the same test on a "normal desktop", if the feature rich editions suffer more on less powerful hardware

The Windows Server is not for to gaming, or to get higher performance in the programs Its can be a domain controller, KMS server, Certification or Configuration Manager Its used for make a domain, manage the attached computers, and more lot of thing The normaly Windows 10 wont run this withut installing other third party programs What do you think? Drivers are not interoperable, for example the basic realtek / intel lan drivers do not work on ws2016, you'll have to change the driver manually to make it install Intel IGPU drivers do not install on ws2016, etc

I solved my stuttering and wierd lag issue with server 2019 using 9900k rtx 3080 card there is no bloatware on os and much more stable tweaking the inf file for Intel network is do the job that is it

But nobody claimed the GUI version of Server would perform better Just that it has enterprise features Try it on Server Core and I'll bet you see a difference That's how enterprises increase their server performance, and that is the standard way Windows Server is implemented in business In data centers often it is done in Nanoserver

Honestly you're better off just buying a cheap win server key off of ebay for like $5 It's a lot better in that if you uninstall the server manager it comes with (unless you don't because you're like me and lab AD in the home), you get Windows without anything you don't need Fuck the ads, fuck the app store, fuck all that shit Win Server 2019 with a copy of classic shell would be the best Windows if MS hadn't been obnoxious and created the settings app Too bad Win 7 doesn't get support anymore
