My LG UM7300 only has Dynamic Tone Mapping on or off, seems to be missing the HGIG option Firmware is updated so I'm not sure what's going on there Comment from : zeroXII |

I appreciate the deep dive on HGIG implementation I'm curious to know how contrast plays against HGIG, since contrast is your white levels Perhaps a lower contrast with Tone mapping on would provide a better image? Also, I believe only new games will call out the HGIG specification, so games like TLOU aren't the best representation of the new featurebrI'm getting my CX shortly and look forward to HDR myself I've enjoyed my Plasma for many years, so jumping into 4K and HDR with be pretty cool Comment from : Justin Case |
