I get very confused with all this hdr stuff I have the same tv same size and same screen on the ps5 showing Spider-Man and your screen is pretty vibrant even with HGiG enabled and my s even looks very dull with the same settings

You have the best explanation of the hdr calibration thing other people let's just say so called pros on YouTube are so wrong These other guys said on the darkness setting hit dark until it can't get any darker on the blacks Lmfao no way But one thing you doing wrong is the sharpness setting has to be 30 on oled for everything for crisp cleanest picture 0 must make it super dull and defeat the purpose of 4k or sub 4k content

HDR adjustment in ps5 for me are way better if you set in the first 2 adjustments, when the simbol disappear give it 2 times brigther, yes brigther and the reason is because oled tv has a low brigtness, and in the third adjustment give it all black up so the simbol disappear totally and the reason is because oled tvs give you the real black, if you set it when the simbol is visible you lose perfect black Try it, you will see the difference

i have this tv and turning on hgig or what ever makes dark shadow areas way too dark as it 100 dark which is horrible specially for games like demon souls , if you go in a room for example you can’t see chests or furniture due to the area being just black instead of darker personally i don’t recommend this setting also if you want the ultimate experience don’t use game mode use standard with motion turned off, the micro second in input lag is so small you won’t even notice it really

I don't think setting the Black Level to auto on the TV and the PS5 works together It looks like you're not getting the full RGB range The black on Spider Man looks crushed I don't know if it's the video but I don't see any transition or details in the black areasbrbrCan you set RGB to full and black level to High and see if there's a different, just to check that Auto is actually doing it's thing?

Tone mapping on looks much better than HGIG on my TV Agree with calibrating the PS5 with HGIG on though Also dynamic contrast at medium as it makes the images pop and look much better

If this setting is in PC mode change your Aspect Ratio Settings from 16:9 to Original It made a huge difference and it looks more realistic for some reason!
