What nobody explains: Its all about priority: attack, first and you have priority If they try and just counter you they get hit Once you hear them making a clean deflect, you have lost priority If you attack now you will get hit Once you do a clean parry, you have priority again Thats the main mechanic of the game

Giving away Kuro's Charm increases the amount of Skill XP you get from enemies If you start a full new game with and without it, you can see how much faster you move along the skill trees without it

No Kuro Charm is basically blocking with weapons in dark souls lol Another challenge I discovered is using the mod for removing hud parts And remove enemy hp/posture meter Didn't realize how much harder that made it till I played again normally after a full run up to the end I play no hud a lot on souls games, makes it very immersive

I don’t believe that deflect never breaks posture On bigger enemies that hit harder, it fills it up right away even with a deflect brEnemies like the drunkard hit so hard they fill up the whole bar in 1-2 hits

actually your tip number #2 isnt really right,you can R1 spam if the enemy doesn't deflect you(but blocks instead) this is because you dont actually get stopped when they are blocking,only when they deflect you can stop attacking
