if my prisoners don't work i usually have 2 people permanently in and around the prison with batons to smash the crap out of them until either the rest go to work or they are half dead

Fun fact: There used to be a mod that let you r**e prisoners, but it was removed from the workshop within 48 hours It got a slight mood buff to the "performer of the act", while there was a 25 chance the victim would perform suicide within 24 hours of the deed and 50 to suffer "a bleed", and those prisoners who witnessed the act got a significant reduction in the resistancebrbrRimworld is affectionately called a "war crimes simulator", but that was apparently one too far for steam Some people are clamoring on reddit for this mod to be reinstated!

This one mod has gotten me making a resource room(that does not include explosives), a hydroponics section, a wood farm for wood burners which are all connected to my prisoner section On the complete other end is the "Armory" which is usually next to the bedrooms Between the two includes 2 turret hallways using nonlethal weapons from a mod(tazer turrets)also extra points for prison quarry so they can mine their own resources to build with If you having issues with quarry you have to enable which jobs the prisoners can do

I set my prisoners up in the corner of my base with a quarry (Quarry Mod!) and a small farm I grow smoke leaf and psychoid there They make me stone blocks and joints for my building and monies I throw them some raw corn to eat or cook up into simple meals I rarely use the jailor function If they stop working I grab the closest pawn and draft them to go in there, buy usually my pawns running into the prison to get blocks and joints is enough to motivate them It is the best way to deal with those annoying quests to hold a prisoner for a set amount of time I will have to try more of the more fun I mean darker options

My prisoners are fed on a diet of corn and caribou milk from a nutrient paste dispenser and I pair the labor mod with the Birds and the Bees mod so when my prisoners start making more pawns they come out at 14 and ready to work making stone blocks (Laughs in 52k Marble blocks) brbrAnd add a crematorium in their area so when one commits suicide their corpse can be easily disposed of or when 20 raiders come and attack and one of them is the lover of one of your prisoners and you make him cremate his lover because one of your settlers got trigger happy with a rocket launcher

Addendum for the organ harvesting part, combo this mod with the Comatose mod and you can go hog wild and get: fresh pair of lungs, both kidneys (no kidney stones included), liver for supper and a lovely heart too All that from a single prisoner

5:25 the big table takes a lot of space for the same seats it's better to have 2 1x2 tablesbrbr2 1x2 tables takes only 4 spaces and give 12 seatsbrbr1 2x4 table takes 8 spaces and give the same 12 seatsbrbrAlso,the small tables means you can put one in each side of the rec room which increases the range, which allows for pawns to use them more often, coming from afar this is specially true with a long and thin rec room

I use a couple of mods, to, once theyre fully immobilized, make them produce milk and insect jelly forever It helps to vary colonist diets without the danger pets usually get put in This is mod content ofcbrbrAlso little protip Organic organs sell for more than prosthetics can be bought for, and instaling said prosthrtics gives you the originalsbrbrProtip 2: prisoners cant riot at all if you remove both legs and dont replace them Do this, and you can more easily do anything but labor with prisoners, harvesting, recruitment, invasive surgeries to make them serve better if you DO give new legs
