So my whole problem is my picking hand Even while playing scales I seem to have a slight lag in my right hand when going to the next string I had a brain injury when I was 19 and 2 strokes when I was in the coma from the brain injury One of those strokes affected my right so that I had spasticity I had to wear a wrist splint too correct the spasticity but my right hand has never been the samebrI took classical guitar lessons in college but it’s not the same as playing electric (duh)brI don’t know what to do!

take look at your video when you're playing down up alternative picking in slow , the problem is your change your style of picking as soon as you speed up , the force that in slow did come from the end of your finger now moved to the end of your wrist ( as far as far your driving force id from your fingers ( like elbows)little movement in that area will make a very long bow at your finger , this is good for sweep picking when every string has 1 note per string) but in your case you got to play the style as when you play fast in this case , don't change it

I see you anchoring with your pinky, which I do most of the time, and now I see more guitar players on YouTube keep saying don’t anchor with your pinky and float across the strings behind the fretboard and I don’t know I find it really hard not to pick without anchoring your pinky at some point

Great tonebrbrLearning the intro to "Don't Fear The Reaper" taught me how to alternate pick and string jump simultaneously brbrAnd i developed the same pick practice techniques that you showed brbrI play classic hard rock Gibsin SG' s preferably and long ago I switched to Dunlop 25 picks and saw a very quick improvement in my picking articulation brbrAnd other players suddenly stopped stealing my picks 😂
