Discipline sucks, so in order to apply it, I have to have hope I find I am much more disciplined when there is a clear path toward achievement ahead When there is no reason to be disciplined, or if I believe that my efforts won't change anything, that's what I get lazy

Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed but an hour or two from now is a just as good as guaranteed so allow yourself a smaller 1/2 hour block of non work related time to enjoy sooner and more frequently like every couple hours vs a whole two weeks off once a year

I really enjoy working out with weights and running As well as a variety of other sports At it 6 days a week Since I enjoy it and like it so much, would not that make me undisciplined? Can't say your disciplined if you workout n love it

In highschool I had zero to discipline I finished my freshman year of hs with 12 gpa and during that time I would submit all my homework in the quarter on the very last day of quarter and be happy with a D or C I didn't really learn much after during my 4 years My pleasure was just watching YouTube At 15 my mom was watching over me to do my homework and when you walk away for sec I would be scrolling on Youtube Youtube was my pleasure it was almost like weed to me and just help to forget everything I ended hs with 21 I went to cc and it took a lot of adjustment and failure and it first time I ask myself after failing a test of what I was doing wrong in academic career until I realize I didn't maximum effort to work and had no sense of discipline

I left my dead end job to pursue higher education to get out of the cycle of retail and poverty I encouraged everyone I was close to at work to do the same, to invest in themselves and the long term I severely underestimated the laziness of the people around me None of those people went to school, learned a trade, got a certificate, looked for a better job They just all stayed in their misery

Self- discipline is a thing of the past in America In my day we were taught it with a switch, today's youth are arrogant and say older eras were wrong If I hear a Native American or a black person say that in the right context, I can believe they have a right with a valid point But some snotty nosed little twerp from college with a bad attitude because of their addiction mad at the world because she cant screw her girlfriend in public, or be a man because she's a woman, please by all means sit down and shut up, before you get a foot up your ass
