You may have told your followers this but the other thing I’ve experienced with leaps is getting screwed by the market makers I suggest making sure you look at the open interest to ensure there’s a lot of activity I bought a leap like 700 days out, deep in the money because I wanted a high delta, but there really wasn’t a market for it and not a lot of activity at that strike and so I got screwed all the time by the market maker, I was the market for that strike It was kind of funny because I could put in fake orders and actually move the price quite a bit between the bid and the ask If you go far and deep I suggest making sure there’s a good amount of open interestbrbrOh yeah, and test the waters… Meaning lowball the price at first, don’t initially just trying to purchase at the midpoint Sometimes they just set you up with unreasonable spreads and you buy the leap and you’re immediately down a couple hundred bucks I go out really far and it’s hard for me to know what a good and fair price is, so I always come in super low at first just to see Comment from : Aggerlee Jones |
