Brilliant ! , have had this problem for ages, watched one of your other video’s and that didn’t solve it so tried looking again for more help and came across this one and this has fixed it by turning down the pressure into the toilet, half a turn with a screwdriver It now takes longer to fill but no running Can’t believe it was so simple Thank you 👍🏻 Comment from : Julie Scanlan |
I done the same on my toilet but turned the valve about 1/4 of a turn to ease the pressure takes around 30 seconds for the valve to stop the water flow Previously I turned valve about 3/4 & obviously slowed it right down but it took about 1 minute for the valve to stop running in the cistern Comment from : Tony L 84 |
Worked perfectly! Thank You! Comment from : Warren Keeys |

How do I adjust those long screws under the lid to Hang at proper length once I had moved the lid and put it back on?? They touch the flush button and makes toile flush on its own without pushing the button Toilets inner workings function fine without the lid on Any feedback on how to adjust those long hanging screws post under the lid? Hi there mr Dereton, you are sooo helpful! My flush button is broken, it doesn't produce anything, just collapses down I'm not sure if it's the button problem, rather I think it's the piece that is below the upper cover, you know? Do you have any tutorial covering that issue maybe? I can't find any button problem thank you! Comment from : Ivana Dzombic |

Thanks for this great video - you've helped me troubleshoot the problem brSo the toilet was overflowing because of high pressure A few weeks ago, the bathroom cold water tap dried up after we drained the tank because of a water hammer Today, I turned on the tap, a strong gush came, and the toilet overflow stopped immediately!! brI'd be grateful if you could tell me this is something I should be worried, given that I am in an old property Comment from : S Tay |

Unfortunately for me, pulling the lever up hasn't helped in the slightest and I physically can't install a valve into anything because there's no pipe down the side of the toilet that I can access It's all within the porcelain and they never even installed a shut off valve in the bathrooms, so the only way I can turn the water off is to turn off the main stop tap for the entire housebrbrAny ideas on that one? Comment from : Grigeral |
This is the exact cistern I have now but I have problem with the water overflowing from the overflowing pipe, was there a video showing how to fix the overflowing problem for this cistern? I just saw the one with the floater but not this Appreciate your help, Comment from : Chee S Ang |

I have a push button cistern and when you push the button to flush the blue box which is attached to the cord parts company from the lid and button assembly The blue box assembly is only a push fit and it seems strange, since there is a thread above it attached to the button that it does not screw on Do I have to replace the whole flush valve?brthanks Comment from : James Pritchard |
Had this problem originally and this fix worked Recently it has started happening again I finally realised the original cause was the flush sticking open rather than try to fix it I just fitted a new flush with button Works a treat and took ten minutes Comment from : Philip Foxe |
