After 2,5 years I clean mine becouse of drift left analog You need to open analog by press potenciometer and clean metal and graffite parts alsobrBest option is change analog or potenciometer or install pcb fixing analog drift, it add another 2 potenciometer to adjust drifting to 0

I followed your instructions and was amazed I’d done it, no drift at all…until I went into a game and nothing would work🙈 so I went back to the main menu and all my buttons worked apart from the L1 button and that’s why nothing is working when I go into a game…any ideas what I can do to make it work please?

had two camo ps4 controllers do it, and the new ps5 had to be sent in for repair, froze in two months got it back but now the controller is drifting we pay the cash for a primo console and we get these issues 🤦🏽‍♂️

If after this it still has drift you can open the green door on the side of stick to clean the potentiometer, after I cleaned mine and put it back together that’s when it finally worked like new

The square button does appear to work, which is odd

Freaking disgrace that PS5 controllers dont last a year This is supposed to be the best? My Ps3 controllers still work excellent Ps4 has drift but AFTER 3 years This PS5 lasted months PS6 controllers will last weeks I guess lol

sony just needs to make the sticks and cube more sturdy cause most of us have heavy finger pressing meaning we tend to press or move the analog stick around very roughly or just plan ole puttinh too much force on it while we play certain game say for instance playing call of duty when you press the analog stick down to sprint while sprinting in different direcetions and i think this is how the stick drifting happens cause the springs and other things may get bent in the process

Stick drift is not my problem but the problem is my ps5 controller l3 button is spinning for no reason, i thought there was oil inside it thats why it slips how do i fix that?

I’ve been using my PS4 controller PS5 controller when connected the camera spins while playing a game I push and hold R3 and it stops for awhile it also has the drift they talk about I have tried some of these fixes and resetting but it still keeps happening Time to get a new one I guess may take it apart and take a look

This video is helpful for the comprehensive high quality tear-down instructions of the ps5 controller However, as someone who repairs controllers and consoles, I will say that the first set of instructions with the compressed air before opening the controller is useless Also, this video neglects the main reason why these controllers drift the green parts of the "cube" should be popped off and examined for damage If the carbon tracts are damaged, no amount of foreign debris removal will solve stick drift, and in my experience, cat hair gets in there more than dog hair I challenge you @Gamenetics DIY to update your video to include examining the potentiometers for a more comprehensive video

I have both Xbox and ps5 next gen and this ps5 drifting is so annoying crazy how people make fun on Xbox controllers we don’t have these issues coming from someone who been on Xbox for a while so many red flags with PlayStation 🤦🏾‍♂️ all u guys really have is exclusive games
