One of the main reasons people are fooled is that they haven't learned to trust their own guidance system They have been intentionally trained away from the subtler survival instincts so that they don't recognize threat when it shows up It's absolutely tragic, because you begin to trust those who are abusing you Thus we have this ongoing horror show of governments abusing people just to prove they are "apex predators"

It sucks I just separated from the passive-aggressive covert narcissistic husband and he abused me psychologically, emotionally, and financially for 8 years There wasn't one day he didn't show some type of abusive way towards me He became so bad to me that he treated me as if I was undeserving of love affection, respect and validation, etc He treated me as if my feelings and concerns were not important and didn't matter and he would walk away when I wanted to discuss things in our relationship that were getting in the way He wouldn't face up because he wanted to keep on abusing me I am glad we recently separated and I'm trying to heal now
