All I know is I just had period pain that I had to breathe through like they were contractions I couldn’t do anything but lay down

the truth is female's pain has never been validated in society from a very younge age, we are fed with bullshit like a girl's pain tolerance is very high you're literally overreacting or it's natural, you're making a fuss out of it why? ofc it doesn't affect men, so it's not worth researching if men went through periods today, there wd hv massive measures taken worldwide haha believe it or not 🚶🏻‍♀️🚶🏻‍♀️

I as a female who has missed countless days of school, work, snowboarding Basketball Living life :sue to severely painful cramps that have landed me in the ER a handful of times, my guess is that period cramps when persistent and severe are much more painful that most conditions - I can think of two other painful conditions/: br1) Severe acute Pancreatitis due to the construction of both the common biliary duct and the pancreatic duct (no, not caused by alcohol- finally physicians are seeing this!) this is a paid I don’t wish on my worse enemy I don’t wish it on a person on DeTh row for a heinous crime I would rather break all my bones before suffering months on end - recovery isn’t swiftbr2) A bone contusion in the thigh from a high speed impactX aka a Charlie horse in the hamstring and quad and glutes that will not let go for HOURS and just gets worse but you have to sit in a car to get from the mountain to the ER and you aren’t closebrListen , I have I had many crazy injuries… Sime months the cramps are wise than every single fracture suffered Not even joking nnnnnnn brFor starters, worse that the broken C3, C4 from over shooting a jump to flat landing after a good pRk crew salting… My neck, open fracture of my right clavicle with a separated AC, I have also separated the left side AC ona different day, different year, different trick Painful not as painful as some months when I cramp I have also fractured my pelvis over shooting a flat down box and although it hurt like a no go kept riding until the pain was so unbearable I went to the ER a week later and they couldn’t believe I had been walking and snowboarding with a fractured pelvis, albeit two hairline fractures, it still hurt (bones have nerves) Oh and this takes a close third, getting off the chair lift, a rando skier on skis he had zero biz being on… somehow caught his ski between my bindings, which I had zero clue this was happening as I pushed to skate off the chair with left leg strapped in and my right leg pushing to one foot off the chairlift well, my right leg was pushing my body was moving forward it seemed but my board and left eft below the knee was stationary That force cased me to fall sideward (left) over the nose of my snowboard except my left lower leg and ankle stayed stuck and I get my ankle say “fu(k u !! We ain’t snowboarding this year!” No but the tissue between the tibia and Fibula completely tore apart Like a high ankle sprain but worse Way worse Surgery hurt too However, more months than not the severe cramping is worse I am laying here in pain with no relief Everything mentioned above, I got food meds Make physicians also y take this sh!t seriously and refuse to prescribe relief Even when we pass clots the size of a 16 week old fetus, or a volleyball… try to pass a clot the size of a Nalgene out of your anus that takes four days and come back and tell me how that mid almost as painful as a thirty second event (heart attack) K?? Rant over

What does the Science say about women who have had severe to extreme period pain and also had heart attacks? I don't think a study involving only men would be that helpful in this case brbrPlus, up above @evangeloevoxi seems to know a thing or two about the severity of period pain as bad as labor pains!!

my cramps stop me from doing anything at all i lay in bed trying not to breathe too hard with my knees curled to my chest for 12 hours at a time if i want to roll over, i cant use any muscles in my torso or legs so i have to push only using my arms and its insanely difficult men have no idea how painful this is and they needtolearn

I’ve always had bad periods cramps and um family knows it right and it remember my stomach hurting so bad and I didn’t know why but I thought it was my period bc my calendar said it should come tomorrow right a week passed my stomach still hurts and I was like maybe I still have it 1 day later my mom is like let’s go to the doctor turns out I tore something in my stomach liek I don’t know what it was I forgot but like my doctor was like are u joking you didn’t feel the pain and i was like I did but I thought I had my period cramps 😭 he looked so confused but understood my cramps still hurt tho

I gave natural birth to my daughter when I was 40 To me, that one time was not as bad of the very few times that I had bad cramps Once I was alone and called 911 because I cannot figure out what was the pain that I was having I had a big discussion with the 911 person who insisted that at 34 yrs old, I could have been pregnant He insisted even when I said that was IMPOSSIBLE because only one woman in history was pregnant without any man Ambulance ride and almost 3 hours of being ignored at the emergency room, the period demonstrated that I was not pregnant I left without even seeing the doctor who decided to see me after I told everybody that I was leaving I did not payed, they did not charged me anything I told my family to take me back home or EVERYBODY was going to see why I had that pain… Never had a heart attack and giving birth showed me that a bad cramp can be worst than a contraction

I think not enough studies are done in general about women and women's healthcare I broke my arm and it wasn't as bad as my cramps, so I slept ON it and went to the hospital later the next day ONLY BECAUSE IT SWOLE UP

in cases of endometriosis I believe cramps can be as painful as labor pain or heart attack painbrand let's be reasonable: many women suffer from this conditionbrbrexcept for cases like endometriosis or similar, I find it difficult that cramps can be so painful

I think period cramps (and by extension, labor pains for that matter) vary wildly from person to person, and even from moment to moment There are people who have ignored appendicitis because it just felt like period cramps, and there are people who claim their labor pains were a cake walk or nonexistent Honestly I think this is part of why we don't have much solid research on the subject

I once had such severe period pain for 2 days that I thought I was gonna die The pain was unbearable after taking a bunch of painkillers, I was thinking that even when getting stabbed at some point you die or pass out, but this pain lasted for longer than that It pulsated like being constantly stabbed and the pain was horrendous I couldn't move, couldn't eat cuz it was pressing even more on my belly, couldn't even breathe without screaming in pain so this is the worst pain when everything hurts and you can't move a muscle without screaming in pain and wanting to die just so the pain would end
