I'd like to suggest that you guys go on down to any Dodge dealership and ask about buying a new Challenger, especially a Hellcat They told me that ALL dealers are charging a $40K markup because they aren't going to be making these cars after this year The lots are full of Challengers and Chargers and my understanding is they can't sell these cars

I watched my dad with “awe” when he went in to buy anything major!!!! Even before there was this extended warranty BS But especially afterwards when that became SOP and he’d look the salesperson right in the eye and say “Why do I have to buy that crap??? Is your product that bad that I need it??? Why do I need all of this protective stuff????? Is y’all’s product that faulty or riddled with engineering flaw’s that I have to cover my ass as leave out of the parking lot???br The looks he got was priceless, and believe me he would get up and walk out the door!!! In fact 80 of the time the salesman whether it be a car or refrigerator, whatever, they would be running out the door to catch him and ask him to come back in and see what they could do!!!!!br Ha’Shem bless him he was a great man!!!!

My uncle, who was both an aviation and auto mechanic gave me these words of wisdom about dealer fees and add-ons: when in doubt, just walk out His logic was they need the sale more than you need the car Find another dealer more willing to work with you without the BS Cheers

Yes, I did not want to pay $500 for the weather mats accessories, and told them so They did finally take them off, but grew so pissed at me I got bounced to another sales person and he got haughty with me I would have bought their prius if they had one that the color wasn't hideous (that aqua blue prius color was the only one they had)

Buying a new car is expensive and generally the MSRP is not that negotiable The dealer buys the car for most of that price Salespeople make more off used carsbrbrHowever, used cars have a lot more flexibility in price, because they have already ripped off the guy who traded itbrbrBut I'm glad there's some of you that are suckers Buying new cars for us smart people to get later

On the Caredge site I looked up a 2024 Toyota Camry XSE FWD This one is a V6 Not the model I'm looking for but my question would apply to all Question is it states "Seller Price" is "$39,285" Is this OTD? If it ain't OTD, is has no value to me The only thing I ever care about when I buy whether it is a quart of oil, a car, or a home is OTD Is there another price that matters? Never mind on OTD price, I dug a little deeper and found it was $43,406! Ok, that was easy, not happening

Just a shout out Saturday I bought a used car Thanks to watching your videos I was able to set a budget price When I got there I drove the car and when I returned the salesman asked if I liked it i told him I did and said all be need to do is set the price "What is the out the door price"? It was listed for 16,500 not including sales tax doc fee or title transfer In literally five minutes we negotiated to $16,250 (my budget was $16K) out the door including 950 sales tax, 250 doc and 10 title transfer The extra 250 did not bother me because it had four new Z rated tires and the car was a one owner from a family member (confirmed by a telecon to get the radio code since the battery had been removed) Granted this was a mom and pop dealership, but it was nice to not have to do the dance,

Not how I do it I walk in, I say would you like to make $1,000 right now for 1 hr work? I want to sit down with you in front of the computer, I’ll tell you what I’m looking for, and my OTD # for example $25,000 less $1,000 and let’s start looking for a car you can get all-in for $24k

This was a waste of my time It's possible to buy well below the MSRP I got more than 30 off MSRP during covid Often the final price is below dealer invoice, but that doesn't mean they didn't make money Any dealer that wants more than MSRP, I don't even negotiate I just wake awayThere are so many option out there, so is no reason to deal with crooksDon't ever fall in love with a car Sales people can see love, and will work their hardest to make you pay dearly

5 years after buying the Kia Optima I wanted to purchase a newer vehicle I knew the trade in value of my vehicle and the sales manager was honest with me he told me they could not pay the blue book value which was 21000 It is a 2016 and they are still trying to get their hands on it It is showroom condition and has 26000 KM on it Basically it is still new

I just bought a Jeep and LoJack was on the vehicle and I tried several times to have it removed after leaving and everything I ended up going back a few weeks later but they still wouldn’t remove it but it was priced well below similar vehicles After closing the deal after about a week I reached out to LoJack to get my access since I paid for it anyways and they said that there was nothing for me to access and they said their documentation showed there was no LoJack purchased I’ve never dealt with a dealer like this and their no-haggle policy Never going back, tried to reach out to management but nothing

In the old days, if you didnt want the add-ons they would either show you another vehicle or let you special order one Today, my experience anyway, the add-ons are mandatory for all customers So I walk They think Im walking as a ploy to negotiate but I really do just walk Who won? Nobody, after all I really needed the vehicle but decades of stressful negotiations have worn me out Its too hard to buy a car these days, in my opinion

Yeah but that ture coatbrbrA while back I was with a friend who was looking at a new car When the sals guy left to go "talk to his manager" he didn't realize he left sitting on his desk right in front of us what they paid for the car as well as what they did to it Of course all they did was the basics like oil change and the markup was like 10k from what they paid She pointed to that paperwork and asked him what is this after his pressure tactics and saying that they were not making much off this car, I thought he was going to vomit He got really quiet and had to go "Talk to his manager" again QWe did get a better price ;-)
