It appears to me the 2nd fan is exhausting the hot air back into the laptop interior Surely a slot should be created in the case and the fan re orientated ? But a great idea and I'm going to modify my Acer Swift with an additional fan

I put some liquid metal thermal compound on my laptop's cpu and gpu and that alone dropped the thermals beneath 70°C on the cpu But the main problem is that the gpu, in my case a Gt840m hits a blazing hot 97°C Looking at the cooler gave away why: it was connected to the smaller of the two heatsinks although it creates more heat than my cpu As soon as I get my new pc/laptop I'll try this out on my old laptop, I still wanna use it after all and not have it melt into a puddly on my lap

Looks like most of the performance came from the extra heat sink, not the fan I guess it makes sense since the fan airflow is pretty poor
