Hey Friend, brI’m trying this recipe out My pork butt is currently in the steam pan/covered in foil stage Unfortunately I don’t have any meat church rubs, so I’m just using a rub from a local bbq stand called Vans Pig Stand This video was incredibly easy to follow & very informative Thank you Matt for teaching as if you were talking to a child 😂 Simple is the way I roll I’ll comment once it’s finished Is it ok if my smoker ranges from 250-300 during the cooking process? I bought a 10 pack of rubs from you 4 of which were Texas sugar I figured they would be pretty sweet I was wrong I guess I should have checked more lol What is your sweetest rub that you sell ? I did this recipe on my pellet grill minus the bbq sauce for pulled pork tacos! Finished it in my dutch oven on same pellet grill Used a cup of pickle juice from a jar of my Wifey's homemade pickles with the 1/3 cup injection! Ok Matt needing some advice, I’m doing 2 butts for this weekend before we go to the lake camper When done cooking should I shred and and put the gold on and lid it or should I just let it cool and transfer whole with the gold and lid ( shred when we heat for service) and / or try to aim for done around 3pm friday and let it rest in cooler till around about service? I don't have apple juice on hand ATM I'm thinking about 1c water, 1/2c apple cider vinegar Also I can't use hog injection as wife can't do MSG but I do have the bird baptism brine, so I'm thinking 1/3c in the water vinegar mixture Do you think that would be good?
