Nice! I am happy that there will be more third party lenses for nikon Me for one, will never buy another Nikon lens I got my nikon system 2 1/2 year ago With Nikon z6ii and the holy trinity of their lenses Turned out, that just 6 months with my z14-24mm S 28 interchanged with my z24-70mm s 28 5-6 times a day 5 days a week, the 14-24 mm bayonet and contacts was so worn that the nikon repair shop ment this was the reason my very expensive lens stopped working……they even admited that the metal being used on the bayonet had a weaker metal than they used to have……for me, that is crazy!! Iv have a nikon 14-24mm af s ed for around 12 years now That has gone through a hell of a lot more on and off the camera, and this hardly show any wear and tear at all……have some colleagues who is using sony with their lens going on and off the camera 10-15 times a day 5 days a week for 4 years There is absolut no wear and tear on their lenses……I am just so disapointed and devasted that Nikon gives us lenses that cant handle being used in proffesional setting…… Comment from : Studio Mossige |

I use it with my Fuji X-H2 , the Viltrox 75mm is incredibly sharp , it’s a tad heavy , but excellent build quality, and a steal at £435 Comment from : John Starkey |

Can u try it on z7 in fx mode? :))) Comment from : Duc Nguyen |

would be great with a comparison with the Nikon Z MC 105mm f/28 VR S as a portrait lens I have the 105 which I use for portraits on my Z6 Comment from : Gjermund Dammen |

If Nikon launches an upmarket APS-C one gets to about US$ 2000 for such a body and this lensbrI would rather wait for an updated z5 II and put the Z 85mm 18 S on it 10/15 more expensive, size and weight about the same?brbrAs soon as you start putting high-performance lenses on APS-C bodies the size/weight/price advantage gets smaller and smallerbrbrI see it with my z30 Nice with the kit zoom But if I want something a bit faster I would need to bring the Dx 24mm 17, plus perhaps the 40mm 20 However, the z7 (or a z5) with 28mm 28 and 50mm 28 isn't much biggerbrbrWant a wide angle zoom? 14-30 f4 is quite small and very good on Fx 12-28 Dx is cheaper, but much slower if you do take the 1 stop difference of the smaller sensor in account So you would need a 28 wide zoom instead to compensate Go and look how much a APS-C 28 wide zoom costs, with Fuji for example Neither significantly cheaper nor smaller or lighter than the 14-30mm f4 And yes, you do have to include the light gathering of your sensor in the equation, in particular when the lights go down and if IQ means something to you brbrToday for many 28 primes are 'too slow' and not shallow enough DoF 18 is just ok, and only 10-14 gets the nod brbrFilm days 28 primes were the fast options along the large and heavy 28 zooms 14 and 18 were only available in very few focal lengths and rather the exception And all that at iso64-400 depending on your film Comment from : Marcus Braun |

Hey Matt, what do you reckon is a good upgrade for the Z50 kit lenses? I love them but need something faster I've been looking at the viltrox primes but decided I'm probably better served with a zoom for travelling The ideal choice would be if Tamron released the 17-70 28 for z mount but currently that doesnt exist What do you think is the next best thing? Nikon 16-80 f28-4 with the ftz adapter perhaps? Comment from : Benjamin Sow |

Lead screw is a linear actuator mechanism rather than just using gears It allows a smaller high speed stepper motor to move heavier glass elements with greater precision, but there might be a speed tradeoff in the process in the olden days floppy disk drives used this arrangement to control the head position in minimal space brbrThis also allows for more positioning options so the stepper motor does not have to be immediately adjacent to the components that have to move One last advantage with lead screws is by changing the pitch of the screw, you can proportionately vary the motion of components This is handy if you have one lens group that needs to move forward and another that needs to move back, but at different rates By using a segmented screw with different pitches, one could achieve internal focus with close range correction with a single motor and not depend on dual motors and more complex electronics Comment from : Charles Morris |

This lens is INCREDIBLE on XF mount We just need updated APS-C Nikon bodies with decent AF to match Comment from : Pete Stewardson |

Always enjoy your videos and comments but I'm not convinced with the ultra shallow DoF on your recording camera It seems all the trend at the moment but I really find it very, very annoying Comment from : Jon Hobley |
