I'd love to see a 24-135 (or at least 105) 18, but that's probably impossible to make (or it would be huuuge) Comment from : Adriana Gabriela |
Matt, first off, sorry I had to up-vote you off "666" LOL! Love your posts, and what drew me to your page was some of your newer reviews of DSLR equipment For me, I have a D800e and a D850, both of which allow me prints of 16x20 and even 20x24 w/o stitching My D850 is still pretty good tech, so please continue to show us innovations that can improve DSLR shooting FYI, I'm unlikely to move to a Mirrorless body until there is 1) higher pixel density, 2) better pixel density resolution, and 3) better low-light s/n response Again thanks for all the work you do for us Comment from : Paul Buehler |

Camera for astrophotography like a Z6iia Lens 14mm 14 for astrophotography Comment from : Francesca S |
I guess Nikon takes the view that DX format cameras’s days are number, hence only one new lens in the z lens DX in the next 22 months, of course you can always buy the adapter and use the few good lenses in the old system like the 10mm-20mmw/angle zoom I know it’s cheap but don’t be put off by the price! Comment from : Christopher Minnerly |
200-600 and 600mm would have received my vote Comment from : Dominic Lester |
Street photographers NEED that pancake The primes are amazing, but the ergos are so nice on z cameras that having a small lens would really help the run and gun style of shooting My 35 is huge lmao love it but I would be lying if I said I didn’t want something smaller Comment from : Marquis J |
I have found that I use 2 different types of lenses the most, something like a 200-500 and a wide angle, like a 15mm or 24-70 I rarely use the 24-70 at 70 It's usually at 24 Comment from : buffmaloney |

I´m still very confident with my D810 and Z6 And i started into the z-lenses with a 35 18 and the 70-200 28 What i would prefer next would be a camera with about 47-50MP, increased low light capabilities and increased shutterspeed inbetween 14-20 fps That would be enough for me, sufficient for stage-, landscape-, wildlife- photography That´s all Comment from : Gunter Sonnberger |
I would like a mostly still photography focused camera I never shoot video Comment from : Jellosquat |

Fingers crossed for a pancake Comment from : Tom Lawrence |
Awesome stuff I'm just hoping for great surprises via firmware for the new Z6ii and Z7ii specifically in the auto focus department so that these Youtubers/haters can finally shut up In regards to the announcements of new cameras, it would be awesome but I just don't want to spend more money for now, I'm sure I will fall for the hype and end up buying one either 8 or 9 but I'm not a super pro so I would not be getting a "Z1", but it would be awesome if they do release an answer to the A1 and the R5 Very exciting, but as an owner of a Z6ii, I'm hoping for a POWERFUL firmware update and not just the 4k 6fps thing they promised Comment from : Fel M |
I think they'll announce a mirrorless replacement for their discontinued d3000 series, new lenses (probably the 85mm 12), and tease a new high end body Comment from : Matt Williams |
Rumours of new firmware to improve eye AF on the Z II bodies to come out in the next week or so Exciting Comment from : GHAS |
24-105 & 85 Comment from : John Roth |
The positive aspect of coronavirus is that the lockdowns have led to a very environmentally friendly way of living for millions of people Less commuting Less international travel - business has changed forever in this regard More online shopping - a few dozen vans delivering goods beats thousands of cars driving into town centres Fantastic image on that 50mm f18 by the way I wish that we had something like that for Sony Comment from : Rich Rollin |
100-400 if F4 will be great using the 2 TC on demand, and will be « light » enough to be carried It must be lighter the the new 70-200 🤔 Comment from : Skye PRF |
The 100-400 is the one needed now New firmware released for the Z6 II and Z7 II to include improved eye focus and 4K 60P UHD support What was wrong with the eye focus on the Z6 II? Well, hope Nikon keeps moving forward and will be making some good stuff again Comment from : Alex V |
105 macro 24-105 for me Comment from : Roman Tomaszewski |
Still very happy with my F mount lenses with an FTZ adapter Comment from : Robert Leidner |
If they announce a pro camera body (z9 or z1) and a APSC camera (z30) They will need to announce prime lens and DX lens to complement these new bodies Comment from : Cesar M |
Sony ergonomics and menus drove me utterly insane, just got my z6 II I am again part of the resistance Lens? 70-200 f4 is essential but currently nobody seems to notice Comment from : Becoming A Natural Singer |
I saw reviews of the 30fps a1 and just 1 of 25sh was in focus Is this really a good thing? Too noisy images for a flagship Rolling shooter sitll there in electronic mode I expect that the pro Z nikon is more similar to a "crappy" D6 than to that A1 Comment from : Pablo Manuel Picáns Riveira |
Z1 dev announcement, calling it Comment from : RUN CMD |

Yes! I'm eagerly waiting for a Nikon Z50 (APS-C) replacement I just hope they increase the megapixels to 24, provide a better battery and somewhat better focus, that would be perfect in my opinion Comment from : Abhinav Anand |
If Nikon bring out a pro body mirrorless with integrated grip, and large battery like the D5/D6 they will be first to the market with a proper pro body mirrorless, A1 doesn't count in my opinion ! Comment from : Mark Green |
What happen Sigma and Tamron S mount too? Comment from : jose ramos |

Maybe we should predict what the Nikon haters will find to whinge about on the specs of the new cameras brOnly having a flippy screen is always a good one, although that's what the Sony a1 hasbrAuto focusthey will moan about that even if it's very goodbrCard slots They won't be the type of card they likebrVideo tracking That's bound not to be good enoughbretc, etc Comment from : tectorama |
D850 equivalent version will be awesome Comment from : Nik Rizal NY |
Hello Matt, Once more I believe that you are spot on, in that every one use case is different and what one person likes may not be to another persons needs We are all different and that is what makes life interesting Keep well, keep save and be kind to all Comment from : John Hughes |
Hi Matt! I fear you're being a bit optimistic regarding the 100-400 price The 80-400 is more than € 2000 / 2500 USD, IMO the new lens will be more expensive as do all the Z ones compared to their F 'equivalent' I hope I'm being wrong there though Cheers from France Comment from : Alain Bouyssou |
From my point of view, I'm waiting for the 28mm pancake I've got the 35mm 18 recently because indoor the 24-70 f/4 is just too slow for the kids I am not a big fan of the 50mm range, it's always a little too narrow or too wide Don't know, just have the feeling that I'm not seeing a scene suitable for a 50mm Anyway, that got me thinking a little focal lenghts and use cases and how you can make something out of every different focal length Overall, I'd welcome a little more photography talk on this channel But well, given the lockdown difficult? Btw, I really enjoyed the B&W vs color video that you made once showing which image could work in B&W that doesn't work in color and vice versa Maybe you can share your opinion on the different focal lengths and how to work with them Don't know Comment from : Andreas Beham |
Good morning Sir, nice to see you too brI think they come out with a new APC-C, as a Z 60brincl VR System, so that they can bring out the br24-105mm without it This would be a perfectbrAPC-C Kit >at first is not so heavy metal ;-) Comment from : Anemo slime |
I want to buy a new camera, original z7 was not good enough z7ii is good but competition is offering more, I am waiting for Z8 hopefully faster AF and less blackout, I don't care if 46 or 61 mp, I want only 10fps but actual fps with tracking, and 10bit video 1080 @240 and 4k @120 , I don't need 8k and if within 3500$ I'm soooooo interested in that camera and maybe preorder it Comment from : maxloverU |
Can't wait to see what they announce even though I can't afford any of them Comment from : John Hazlewood |
My latest combo is a Leica R 135 28 on a Z6, seeing as you're so interested Comment from : Jaymin Woodcock |
