Just a question I have an old Seagate hard drive That I can't find the software for Maxtor how do i retrieve my photos off it?

I hwve hitachi hdd 500 gb it doenst show any partition nor in device managment nor in driver ! Ita all hidden i tried many software none works when i connect it i just hewr a sound of fan a nd the led light turn on and doesnt flash how can i fix it ??

Thx for your instructions! But my Problem is different My external Hard Drive fell to the ground several times and now when I plug in the Hard Drive, it becomes weird noises and the PC doesn't recognize my external Hard Drive anymore Is it now totally broken or not?

Great video! I've got a seagate drive and the connection looks fine I took it into the local computer shop and they said I would have to pay a data recovery firm to try and pull the information of it They said it didn't "post" on their machine Given all this, is there another way to get the information of a seagate drive? The cost of data recovery is around $1000 thanks

Do you know what the problem is if the hard drive is taking forever to transfer or reading a file? It took several hours before my Mac was able to registered the hd Now I’m trying to transfer all the data onto my desktop and it’s taken days and it’s still on “preparing files for download”
