Damn I realised that some micro-usb cable does not do data transfer and only for charging, and thus why it is not working Got myself a cable that supports data transfer and it's working now Thanks for the headsup

I tried several different usb cables, and on a blog a guy said to change the hdmi port that was connected I don't know what the relationship is, but it worked perfectly, my controller started working again in safe mode using the same cable that came with the console 8 years ago I hope it helps

My issue was the cable Tried 10 of them until the 10th was the cable that came with my Bose QC 35 headphones all others including anker were probably configured for fast charging not the data connection the PS4 pro needs

Some cables will charge your controler but wont pass data So you need to use another usb cable even if it charged your control

FOR THOSE OF YOU STILL HAVING ISSUES: The fix is actually a lot simpler than you think, change micro USB cables some will work in safe mode and some will notbrbrWhat I mean by some will work and some will not is, some micro usb cables are capable of transferring data (such as advanced connection to safe mode playstations) if you're using a cheap micro usb cable, it won't work you'll need to get a good onebrbrMost Micro USB cables that come with android phones are good enough to do the job see if a friend or family member has one and use that one if not there are plenty of cables you can buy off Amazon for a really good price
