Replaced thermal paste on my single fan Asus GTX 1660 Super It was going up tp 85c easily After thermal paste replacement, I am reaching about 75c So, I limited the FPS of the card to 60 in NVIDIA Control panel Now, the temperature stay below 60c in the games I play The card stay below 70 TDP or lower in the games I play The gaming experience is very smooth The card has headroom power and the 1 lows are nearly the same as AVG FPS because of that That will do for me

I dislike blower fans by a large margin Especially since I prefer to use Quadro cards that aren't very cheap to begin withbrBut I have successfully replaced those pesky, whining fans by large heatsinks and cool them with case airflow only (never exceeding 60 degrees Celsius)

might try this, been using my 2080-ti blower for years and it has to go at 100 fan speed just to not thermal throttle!

Hello i got a sapphire hd7950 with blower fan and i found a heatsink of gigabyte’s hd7970 with 3 Fan windoforce Im getting 90-100 degree with blower fan so if i buy the windoforce fan is it going to change to 60-70 degrees from 90-100? (Sorry for bad english)

Good Idea I'll have to keep this one in mind if I ever end up with another blower card TechPowerUp and forums usually have some good PCB and cooler photos It might be good to check them out so that clearance issues can be preempted

Are there any aftermarket options? I don't really have the expertise or the tools to modify an existing factory-heatsink if it doesn't fit I have an ASUS GTX 970 Turbo OC which comes with what is probably the crappiest blower cooler ever made

how did you get more temps on your old gpu cooler than my laptop like i have the 720m and it shares heatpipe with cpu and it only hits 70 degrees after playing gtav for 2 hours

Same issue I used to get 82 degrees, and it would shut down I disassembled and cleaned the heatsink and put new thermal paste I got 72 degrees, but it still shuts down! I'll try changing the thermal pads as well

Lol nice one and speccialy when you mentioned aliexpress i ve been there same a s you buying those thermal pads and even a cpu cooler wich got my heater below 65 degrees C on full load for only 17 $ with 5 kopper heatpipes each side, ^^ Lol watching your vids is like being a time traveler and seing myself looking for solutions on budget, Thanks!
