Just rewatched this video as my cx did an update and i wanted to make sure everything was good But brightness seems very dim even though it’s at 100 and in hdr Games itself seem dull but lg manus and bright and vibrant

I feel like the default sharpness at 10 will be a debate never settled From what I understand yes 0 is the purest setting However10 also adds no sharpening, but what it does do is apply an anti aliasing filter I think the reason filmmaker etc use 10 is there's no real downside to this and helps with lower resolution content like switch games smooth out jaggies I consider myself a purist but I'm happy to use a feature that has no trade off at the end of the day brAlso I think 55 colour is actually accurate in game mode as Vincent tested this on a later video on the c2 I think and measured 55 as accurate Not all picture modes translate the exact same values across bear in mind 50 colour is still accurate in filmmaker mode for examplebrThere is no consistency with these picture mode values which annoys me but I think there is a method still when it comes to default values set on lg sets

I noticed this video is a year old Checking my settings I started with the PlayStation video output settings Everything on mine is set to automatic there is a test for 1440p And mine is running at 120 HZ 4K video transfer rate I'm wondering should I check the vrr apply to unsupported games? My current video output session Says 3840 by 2160 at 60 HZ That's at the desktop screen of the PS5 with no game loaded

So what about black levels for sdr? I noticed if you leave tv set to auto you get a grey filter Setting on low seems mandatory Even ps5 Home Screen looks better

Hello Vincent, thank you for the great videos! I was wondering, since the PS5 has the option now to use HDR only when supported, if you would use the same settings for SDR content? I followed all of your recommendations for settings in this video, but it is all for the HDR Picture Mode (Game mode) When I play something that doesn't support HDR, it switches to Game mode (not HDR, just regular), but it has some different values, like for brightness, etc Would you use the same settings for Picture Mode as you did for HDR Picture Mode? What about the best settings for playing Blu rays, etc? Maybe you could make a new video, as the PS5 now supports VRR and ALLM as well! 😀brAlso, HGiG is only available in an HDR Picture Mode

This may be the most “accurate” but it looks TERRIBLE IMO, but I like deep, saturated colors which is why on my PS5 I use VIVID MODE even with my PS5

Hi Vincent, brbrYou set your Color to 55 on LG C1 which basically is like the same panel as LG CX, but here you set it to 50 as for "most accurate color setting" Which one is correct? I am using CX and have it on 50 Should i step it up to 55? Please help me Thnanks

Let me save you some time and tell you about the best settings for games:brbr- Enable game modebr- Enable BFI (Trumotion on high) - this is the best feature in this TV Finally the industry is trying to beat this horrendous blur problem We should have never moved from CRTbr- For SDR content, Trumotion on high is bright enough, but for HDR, turn on Dynamic Tone Mapping It is not accurate, but it's brighter and beautiful F*ck accuracy

Does anyone know if these settings work on an LG LED Nanocell? I am connecting it to a PS5 and it has all the bells and whistles like 120hz ALLM, Vrretc When it's in Game mode, the latency drops significantly, but the colors are washed out I have to change the settings, picture mode but the latency will go up and I can notice the input lag So I have to sacrifice picture quality to have good latency or have a good picture quality with high latency

The Game mode Is really bad, it lags and the graphics isnt good only you have 20 Fps more, but id rather Pick Better grapics and no Lags and lose 20 fps, i can really say Vivid is the best option

warm1 seems the sweet spot for gaming warm2 may be the standard but some games really don't look good that way (death stranding for instance) Maybe dev don't calibrate their games like movies
